Wrong Information on Sex

Realised there isn't a thread on common misconceptions on sex. Just thought we should list down errors so that 1. We can learn. 2. We know how ridiculously ignorant other people can be.

Let me start the ball rolling. I was chatting with a girl I knew from IRC on MSN. Her menses were late and she told me it's due to stress. Upon probing, she told me she just broke off with her bf. The bf had raw sex with her but came outside, on her body. After lying in bed for 20 mins, they had another round of raw sex where he came on her body again. In between the sessions, the guy didn't pee or wash his penis.

Amazingly, this girl never ever thought she may be pregnant. Her view was that he came outside on both ocassions, so she should be safe!

When I told her that her bf's penis may leak sperm during those 2 sessions or that he will have sperm residue from the 1st round when he's at session 2. She went

Question: I recently touched my girlfriend's vagina and I think my hand still had dried semen on it from... (whatever). Could she get pregnant from this?

Answer: Not from that, but maybe you should be washing your hands more often. Although sperm can live for up to 5 - 6 days inside the female body, note that I said up to, it can not live very long on clothing, hands or tabletop. I would be very surprised if there were even any still living on your hand 2 hours later. Sorry if you wanted to hear something else. I don't see fatherhood in your future from that.

Question: How long does sperm live after ejaculation?

Answer: Although sperm can live for many weeks in the testicle, sperm remains capable of fertilization only for about 24 to 48 hours after ejaculation.

YES, they have lived as long as 6 to seven days in some studies, so I am sure someone will correct me on this. No, they can not live on your jeans if they are deposited there and the semen is dry. (Remember that blue dress in the news?)

The female egg is only able to be fertilized for 12 to 48 hours after ovulation. This may be useful to those who are trying to get pregnant. (Home ovulation kits are very accurate, btw).

People often use this information to determine when it is least likely to get pregnant with unprotected sex. These methods are called the rhythm methods of contraception. Rhythm methods are not reliable methods of contraception, and we DO NOT recommend this "method" for teens. Also, this does not prevent the transmission of STDs including HIV.

AT SEVEN YEARS old, the image I had of sex in my mind was that whenever a guy got hard, he could just walk up to his girlfriend/ wife/prostitute, stick it in, pee, and just walk off. Just as simple as that. So one night, I decide to practise this routine on my bed. I stand up, drop trou, get hard, and just kind of start thrusting forward in the air, pretending that there is a beautiful woman in front of me. At this point, my father walks into the room. I'm about seven or eight years old at the time, so he must be thinking, What in the fuck kind of pervert am I raising? He doesn't say anything; just turns around, closes the door, and walks away. Another funny one from a girl no less.

When I was in primary 2, I used to sneak away during recess with one of the other boys, and we would fool around in the tall grass at the edge of the playground. When I was dating my first girlfriend, her male colleague (who was married liao) came and told her that after unprotected sex, his wife just need to go 'wash it clean' and never be scared about pregnancy. It wasn't until during CNY when my ex and I visited his family, and found out he got 3 kids and his wife needed to stop working to take care of the children. All from shotgun.

When I was working in China, got to know this really open minded girl, she said her favourite session was when her bf, after ejaculating on her body, put the penis back into her body and continue for the second round. And she said if I were to have sex with her, she won't allow me to wear a condom. She'd never have a condom in her body, thats like her belief. I'm appalled (of cos din sleep with her eventually), then later found out most chinese dun use condom at all. in my encounters with girls, either through the penis or through counselling sessions, I have heard many ridiculously wrong information about sex.

my ex once told me that if she were to immediately "claw" out the copious amount of semen deposited in the vagina, she wouldn't get pregnant and thus urged me to fuck her raw when it wasn't within her safe time frame. at that point of time I already had one foot in the medical world and knew that it wasn't the smartest thing to do at all. so no, I didn't do it. she went on to say that if she stood up immediately, gravity will help her do the work and expel the sperm. somebody obviously forgot to tell her that sperm cells have the ability to "swim". she was a great worker in between the sheets though. God obviously has a form of "compensation"

Question : whats the legal age for sex for woman? i heard the law changed , the legal age now is above 18.
Previously it was above 16,under 14 straight away consider rape regardless consent from the girl or not.

I think you are wrong. It's still legal to have sex with girls above 16. It's just not legal to buy sex from girls under 18 anymore. Please also worry about what sexual grooming means. It's the next thing the SPF will crack on. Very vague.

hahahaha...its tough when people fall on misconceptions and treat it as logic, and even complete it with a 'scientific' explanation. A lot of chinese also think that as long as the action of ejaculation is not done inside the vagina, its ok to let sperm mix around with the fluid inside the vagina.

The next thing you'll hear from the earlier misconception will probably be that the cowgirl position is definitely pregnancy-safe!

me have a contribution...
in me encounters wif some PRCs...
they very scared to do CIM...cos scared can get pregnant...
they claimed to have seen a documentary tat the sperm are alive...
and tat it will swim to impregnate them...
well...true...sperm is alive...
but when digested in the stomach...it'll all die...
oso...the stomach is not linked to the fallopian (rite spelling ?) tubes...
so me always got a bit of problem trying to convince them to swallow...
some more...me cina no so goot...very very hard to convince...
but...occasionally still lucky to get 1 or 2 who are willing to swallow...
