A Singaporean who was expelled from a US college after he was caught secretly videotaping women in the bathroom admitted his guilt in court last Friday (April 29), US media reported.

Alexander Lim, 25, pleaded guilty to six counts of unauthorised video recording in a blind plea, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Lim, a former student at Wheaton College in Chicago, faces a jail term of up to five years. He is due to be sentenced on June 30.

Installing what prosecutors described as a "spyview camera watch" in the bathroom of a college-owned apartment, Lim captured footage of three female students undressing and showering.

He was friends with all three women.

One of the students raised the alarm in February last year after noticing the watch, which was equipped with a video lens, facing her.

Following his arrest on Feb 23 last year, Lim admitted to his actions and said he had been recording the women since October 2014. He also posted some of the videos online.

Lim was subsequently released on US$75,000 (S$100,500) bail but had his passport turned in to authorities.

Since his expulsion from the private Christian liberal arts college last July, Lim first stayed with family friends in Tennessee before moving to Connecticut to live with relatives, the Chicago Tribune reported.

He also underwent a program for people with obsessive behaviour and attended meetings with a sex addicts anonymous group.

Court documents revealed that Lim is a Singapore citizen who had completed his National Service.

OMG. I think I remembered a thread in this forum that match that MO. Singaporean studying in US who posted showering pics of his housemates. Probably the same guy.

Future not ruined la. After therapy just get a new haircut and change college. Most Americans think asians look pretty much the same.
