KUALA LUMPUR - An estranged wife allegedly slashed her husband's genitals while he was asleep.
The man, a Myanmar national, had let his wife into his apartment at Taman Wilayah around 11am on Monday. The couple, in their 40s, were living separately as they were in the midst of getting a divorce.
Sentul OCPD Asst Comm R. Munusamy said the man then fell asleep in the living room.
"He woke up after feeling pain in his private parts, and saw blood oozing out, while his wife was standing over him with a knife," he said.
ACP Munusamy said the man was rushed to hospital and received 10 stitches. The woman has since fled.
