Long weekends aplenty with 11 public holidays in Singapore for 2015 PUBLISHED ON APR 8, 2014 BY AMELIA TAN SINGAPORE - Workers can enjoy seven long weekends in 2015 as many of the gazetted public holidays next year fall on a Friday or Monday. The Manpower Ministry announced on Tuesday that there will be 11 gazetted public holidays next year. They are: New Year's Day - Thursday, Jan 1 Chinese New Year - Thursday, Feb 19 and Friday, Feb 20 Good Friday - Friday, April 3 Labour Day - Friday, May 1 Vesak Day - Monday, June 1 Hari Raya Puasa - Friday, July 17 National Day - Sunday, Aug 9 (The following Monday is a public holiday.)
