Police said it is believed that one of the men had intended to rob a bank using the air pistol, a replica of a Beretta pistol.  SINGAPORE: Two men have been arrested for the unlawful possession of an air pistol. Police said it is believed that one of the men had intended to rob a bank using the air pistol, a replica of a Beretta pistol. On Tuesday night, police were alerted to a case of a suspicious bag that was found within a dry riser of an HDB block near Yishun Central 1. Police found a set of clothing, a pair shoes, gloves, cable ties, a face mask and a Beretta replica air pistol in the bag. The two suspects, both aged 30, were arrested in different locations - one at Serangoon Gardens and the other at Sembawang Close - on Wednesday. One of the suspects will be charged in court on Saturday. If found guilty, he faces a jail term of between five and 10 years, and at least six strokes of the cane.
