Pinoy FTrash files police report against ‘Singaporean’ for racism
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
Filipino files police report against ‘Singaporean’ for racism October 6th, 2013 | Author: Editorial A Filipino, apparently residing in Singapore, filed a police report on 3 Oct for racism, against a certain “Devina Sharma” reportedly a Singaporean. Posting on Facebook, Filipino Anthony Benedicto wrote, “I have submitted a police report to the Singapore police regarding Devina Sharma. They will investigate and will reveal the result in due time. Let the law of the land take course.” Devina Sharma was said to be the same girl, Devina DeDiva, who made headlines worldwide for throwing racist remarks against Miss Philippines who won the recent Miss World 2013. Posted online, Devina DeDiva called Miss Philippines and Filipinos as “filthy maids”. She further added, “Miss Philippines is Miss World? What a joke? I did not know those maids have anything else in them Ha Ha Ha.” She also said that “they are poor, smelly from cleaning toilets and uneducated.” At one point, some people fingered her to be studying at Manchester University in Indiana, USA. However, a Facebook posting from the university on 2 Oct denied this [Link]: “Manchester University (Indiana, USA) has been mistakenly associated with an individual Devina DeDiva today after she made racist comments regarding the recently crowned Miss World from the Philippines. To clear up any confusion, the University has confirmed that Devina DeDiva has never been a student at Manchester University (Indiana, USA). In addition, Manchester University stands as a place of differences where the community engages in respectful dialogue cultivating individual beliefs and values. In our accepting community, the racist comments made by this individual would not be tolerated as respectful.” It’s not known if Devina Sharma and Devina DeDiva are connected and if the person involved is even a Singaporean. But Mr Benedicto who filed the police report seems to think so. In the report, he said that some of the netizens had commented on the post and linked Devina DeDiva to ‘Linkedin’ by the name Devina Sharma. He said, “I looked at the profile and the said user is from Singapore.” Then, there is another Indian national, Sajith, who also thinks that the person involved is a Singaporean. He wrote on his blog (sic) [Link]: She is not from India Looks like she is off Indian race. After doing little bit of research, I have found that she is not from India. Reasons:
Anyway, looks like she is a Singapore born Indian (Singapore Citizen), who thinks that they are the most privileged persons in this world. So let us forgive her for her arrogance. Reasons:
So please understand that she is underprivileged than any other Philippine girl. So let us forgive her. Click here to view the whole thread at www.sammyboy.com. |
