Mr Lim: to sign Colombia- Singapore Investment Guarantee Agreement - PHOTO: BLOOMBERG

TRADE and Industry Minister Lim Hng Kiang will visit Colombia and Costa Rica this week to promote greater trade and economic ties between Singapore and the two Latin American countries.
The four-day trip starting tomorrow will see Mr Lim sign the Colombia-Singapore Investment Guarantee Agreement (IGA) with Colombia's Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism, Sergio Diaz-Granados Guida at his first destination.
The IGA, which will promote greater investment flows between the two countries, was proposed by Mr Diaz-Granados during the state visit of Colombian President Juan Santos to Singapore in May 2012.
Mr Lim will also meet with Colombian and Singapore companies based in the country.
