Bro - relax... Beijing is quite safe if you follow common sense rules. I've been there many times, and often on my own.

The thing is, China men truly treats their women like furniture; no respect, and absolutely no consideration. Be a nice gentleman, and you'll get more than you bargain for.

What I typically do is to take the morning flight, which gets you to BJ around 4pm. Check into the hotel, have dinner, and then head on off either to San Li Tun, or Picadally's. Pick up a girl, and treat her good... and you'll get a gf for the duration of your stay. If you go up to where they stay, you'll quickly understand why the ladies like to stay with you at the hotel (even if it's a 4-star). Plus, men there really don't treat their ladies right, in or out of the sack. A little fingering, and tongue action, and you hit juice real quick.

But off course, don't be too "hao lian". While the majority people there earn really little (a fresh graduate will count himself lucky to get RMB2K/month), the rich will blow your mind. And they often have connections that can make you "dissapear" if you really piss them off.
