I did a search engine search and found 17000 articles on testicle torsion.

To summarise, it is a condition where either the testicles rotate to each other(aka left ball become right ball) or that they turn about themselves, thereby cutting off the blood supply. ball then dies.

And it is not rare.

Also, in 30% of these cases, the testicle has to be removed. Without balls, not only no children but no male hormones, so loss of sex drive etc.

Usually these r caused when testicles roam freely, then a sudden turning occurs, aka, if we turn in bed.

since 1992.. i havent wear any underwear till now.. high risk?

Seems like a freak condition that if suay suay happens, it happens.. does wearing underwear really help if ur whole body weight leans in a wrong manner? What abt boxer shorts which are quite loose anyway?

Personally, i think wearing underwear may not lower the chances of this condition by much, but it's just my gut feel there and u may be right..

Then better warn the millions out there who wear boxer shorts or nothing at all to bed every night!

otherwise, i still prefer to keep them loose and cool, like mother nature intended them to be

However, I am puzzled by the title of your thread... the articles do not advise that men wear underwear when sleeping or did I miss out the relevant portions?

Would appreciate if you will enlighten me on this issue as I have been wearing boxer shorts to sleep for the past few years and before that, used to wear shorts or pyjamas without underwear since my chidhood.

In prisons they dun wear undies? u were behind bars before? coz saw once episode of true files n got female guards inside(the one where the female guard was held as hostage). so if male zhao geng female pai say buay..

The underwear thing is taken from a medical book i have. It was published in 1970, yet torsion is already mentioned in it. To prevent it says to wear either briefs or something called jock strap(any idea wat this is?)

Logically it is correct too..if the balls bounce here bounce there, by probability sooner or later the soft cords will twist one rite? (The cords are very soft)

But good news is that if you can go to a hospital within 6 hrs, usually u can save your ball. But this also mean you can go to sleep a man and wake up to be an eunuch (assuming sleep 8 hrs).

A solution, if u find briefs warm, is to wear just briefs and no pants.

in prison, they really dont wear undies.
if got female guars that day. they wear short lor. no nude body checking that day.
