Most common STDs have an incubation period ranging from few days to months. HIV being the longest to detect.

If after the intercourse, and you didnt see any miscomfort on your didi, go for generalized STD checkup which is available at most GP.

For a more thorough checkup, must visit the CDC liao....

Now nothing much u could do now but to wait n go for a test. Test shd include HIV as well as the standard STD tests...cos STD if untreated will lead to serious problem later...so dun only focus on HIV...infact...for one time exposure..chances of getting HIV is lower than STD...Dun worry too much (I know might not be easy)..but really...only thing now u can do is wait n be tested. what has happened has happened, now what you can do is to hope that all turns out well.
HIV can be detected only after 3 months, so perhaps u shd visit the DSC clinic 3 months later. meanwhile check for any physical changes in ur genitals, and of course, try not to worry too much

Chances of getting HIV are actually quite low. Actually the chances of the girl getting HIV and diseases from you is higher. Are you clean by the way? If you get HIV, then next few days may get flu like sickness. Better see a doctor to get some relief. 6 months later go to DSC Clinic for HIV testing. Next time buy better quality condom, then you won't have to wait 6 months for a stupid test to confirm you don't have HIV.

3 mths shd do...most overseas website already using 3 mths as the guideline..can check after three mths....if still worried..6 mths again for peace of mind....

bro i also have this kind of experiance b4. It so uncomfort actually cos u will be keep thinking about it. Ever since than im not sleeping well.when alone.. i'll just recalled back the incident till i decided to go for the checkup. Luck is with me.. tested negative..phew!! is about afew month now from my last FL or ONS. So my advice to u bro, go check up now.. i mean now! if u felt unrest with yourself. Goodluck!!

You don?t need a 6 months test. Singapore is making the whole world laugh about their guidelines. Below are some of the guidelines from various governments around the world and see their recommendation for testing. Current test are so sensitive that they can pick up antibodies as early as 21 days. I really can?t believe that these governments would want to put their citizens into danger of such a deadly virus by telling them a test at 3 months is okie.

The rapid test which dsc use is exactly what WHO, UK and this STD clinic in Netherlands is using. They recommend 3 months as well.

The chances of your testing HIV positive is low. Do consider taking the test, either at AFA or DSC. Although newer tests have higher sensitivity, the standard rule is for a waiting period of three months. I think you should also exercise extreme caution the next time you're in a similar situation. Alcohol and sex is a lethal combination. Good luck!
