Pubs/Bars (NOT clubs) to go alone during weekdays/weekends to wallow in self-pity
Dear all,
I am in my late 20s/ nearing 30s, am attached but like all of my peers or you sbf brothers ; work stress and recent loss of a FB makes me feel kinda sianz. I don't let it affect my work performance or my time out with GF, but from time to time, you do think about the FB and married life (going to in few years time) and get a little down. I am not a dancing guy but I just like to you know, sit down and just have a drink, listen to some music and people watch a little without looking like a loser on a weekday, say wednesday and thursday. Any introductions from seasoned SBF brothers here? Will appreciate any of your inputs. Thanks in advance.

Hmm.... If you just want to have a drink, relax and watch people, suggest that you make a trip to Ipanema in OT. Guarantee that you will have a lot of "sightseeing" to do. You will be "exercising" your eye muscles a lot as there's lots of watching to do;-) Am sure your stress will go away fast!

some people just like to have a pint and kick back and relax alone.. can go thai disco and people watch, sometimes buy the thai girls a lb for some company to chat with..

Golden Mile Complex.
There are alot of "KOPITIAM " there that serves beer ( slightly more expensive then normal kopitiam ) .. but there you see alot of working chicks walking around as they start heading to the pubs located in the complex. Quote:

For me i just pop by anywhere nearby , sit drink and watch.
I have no preferences in the pub as the drink is on top of the list. but watching the antics of drunkards dancing sometimes is a bonus and do make me laugh inside. other than that its more of a drink up , watch and enjoy the music and FO from there . better than seated by the beach drinking warm beer i suppose .

Actually my fav place to chill out is at the kopit tiam.. sometimes you get to see whacky people there while enjoying some of the local hawker..
price aside, but at least it makes you feel like you're a singaporean esp when you here the hokkien ah beng uncles talking.. sometimes out of boredom i just talk to some random uncle and he'll tell me his life story..

Go to those pubs in Joo Chiat....Its dark so ppl wont recognize you...Drink away while listening to music & bonus there will be gals coming in & out hoping to "shake yr hand"....
