my cousin is a gambler through the past years and now with the 2 IRs in Singapore, he is eventually a bankrupt and have been taking money from his siblings for some time and just now his sister call me and inform me about his situation telling me and my wife not to help him

I had an encik who was a hardcore gambler. Chalked up debts and sold off his house to repay his debts. Then the IR came about and he was back at it. Chalked up a fresh set of debts and was chased by banks. The banks even called up the camp to ask for my encik. He eventually hung himself at home. I was told that his debts were over $100K sgd. He was a pretty good encik. Kind and understanding.

here is my story,

I am from a normal family and I am a very thifty person who can really save up. I start working part time for fun at the age of 14. By the age of 16, I had a savings of more than 10k.
The purning point came when I started gambling with soccer in 1996. My life took a turn for the worst. I had gone through and learn many things the hard way.
Since gambling started, I am always broke, already trying to find money to pay for my gambling debts. Until when my chance came to be an agent when i was 21. Everything started smoothly but as my gambling habits screwed me up again. I lost the agent lobang, got more gambling options when online casino what hot then. Looked for money to gamble. I conn and I cheated in many ways just to find money to gamble. I got to know alot of people from the back scenes, alot of kinds of illigeal money making lobang came. selling contraband cigs which i can buy at $1500 per ball. working in a online casino gambling shop.Bursting all my credit cards. Cheating and borrowing fro my close friends and hiding from them. then owing bigger gambling debts especially in soccer. when all the bank credits were max out, I sweet talk my younger sister to take up a loan from ezycash 12k which i could not fulfill to pay the instalments. My debts roll bigger and my dad had to sell him flat to help me pay out my debts when I got involve in loan shark as well, owing them many 10s of thousands.
at this point my life was screwed and also becamed a bankrupt, I was working for a japanese mnc company earning $3700 per month but wasnt enough to cover my debts. By chance, I got to contact a friend who already run road to thailand who was doing quite well and I decided to let go everything and try it out. They money was good and when I was there, my enemies could not find me, so I continued to work happily there. until one day, my business cannot cope and I had to return to singapore.
And here I am now, back in singapore. My piority now is to support my family, my mum and sis, stay out of trouble for my family. Through i have not kick my gambling habits but i refrain myself from gambling on credit which wil be a big problem.

I was born into a gaming family. My grandfather operated a gambling den in chinatown and as my mother helps out there so I spent most of my childhood there too. They would put me to sleep every afternoon on a bed at the back of the den. Although I was very young about 3-5 yrs but I could observe and see what went on from my bed through the partition separating the back from the gambling area.

That is why I am always reluctant to gamble..... and if I do I will always be the banker or join forces with the house.

come across this thread and feel abit sad and touch so decided to write some story about mine , hope it wont bore brothers here .

im a business man owning afew shops some is bought over some are rental .
i was a very hard working person , for the last 15 years i was very very hard working and ending having my own shop and mercedes on my mid 30s ,
i was not gambling but only for some 4D and toto in not more than $50 .
i always say stupid people go for playing horse , stupid people go for those jackpot in those stupid club . why dont go for drink , eat , or even sex .
i was totally not interested in any forms of gambling . i feel it is for those stupid people . sorry for the offend words .
when 2010 first day of chinese new year , our first casino open at sentosa , i feel that it may be good becos that might be some people may win money and it may help up the retail to improve their sale . haha...what a good news to us .
still on the mood of holiday , so i decided to visit the sentosa casino on the 4th day of chinese new year with all my family members and in my account for paying the levy .
wow..what a fucking nice place and so many stupid people coming in haha..so enjoy .... i also enjoying seeing those stupid people shouting ..beting ...laughing ... crying ..... also some very very stupid people runing towards ATm manchine and drawning cash and go in again ...haha...really stupid .... fucking stupid .....
i was walking around joining my family to have some fun also .... aiya ..spent 3-5 hundred for them to enjoy .. how filial i m ...haha...
ending of the day i think i spent about 5-6 hundred and without gaining any thing but i know my family was enjoy on that day ... suddenly heard my mum said she won $4000 dollars ..haha ...wow lao .... so easy ...so heng ....
