They met on the internet and had only been chatting online with each other for about two months. But the second time they met up in as many days, IT analyst Ng Han Tong, 37, tried to have sex with the 31-year-old woman...

...Ng pleaded guilty and was sentenced on Wednesday to 36 months in jail and six strokes of the cane.

The court heard that Ng, who is married, had met a 31-year-old woman over the Internet in January 2010. The pair chatted online before deciding to meet in Mar 2010. They went to a KTV and then to the beach at Sentosa Island where they kissed.

They met up again the next day after Ng suggested that they go to a hotel to kiss again. He reassured the woman that he would only kiss her.

The couple checked into a room at Hotel 81 Cosy at Jiak Chuan Road that night. After Ng had removed both their clothes, the woman told him that she did not want to have sex with him. Ng became frustrated by her repeated rejections.

He subsequently climbed on top of the victim and penetrated her despite her protests. She had tried to push Ng away and told him to stop, the court heard...

It's natural for men, including married men, to lust after other women.

In civilised society however, it is not permitted to force women to have sex, or to have sex with children.

The lives of both men would have been much better if they had sought the services of sex workers instead.

their lives must be real bored that they want to seek for such kind of 'excitement' to 'try their luck' hoping that they will not get caught in the end
Singapore is a very small place, this means if you want to do anything bad, it will be discovered very quickly and worst still you have no where to hide, because the place is so bloody small, unlike in the US and China where you can escape to another province to hide under another change identity,so it is quite stupid to break the law in such a small place here

However if you're a terrorist and you happen to be a cripple, maybe you can try your luck, because you should be able to escape out of Singapore quite easily, but if you're a small time criminal, better not

Singapore police force is good at catching small time criminal but not so good at nabbing big time terrorist.

maybe the wife do not sexify him enuff or maybe their marriage is on the rock... every marriage are not perfect...

Regardless of the reason, it is still foolhardy to break the law, especially when there are ready alternatives available...

Perhaps this is one reason why SBF is really a good thing. Those who frequent the forum will know what's available out there and will not resort to foolish actions that will ruin their lives.

Braddahs, this is a clear direlection of duty. A teacher, one of the most respected positions a SG public servant can hold and a source of leardership for our young people crosses the line and engages in sex. What is the state of SG society today? GL KTV widespread promscuity materialism import of bad Western values and STDs. Braddahs, I'm worried about SG society. How about you braddahs?

but there are still ppl out there doing foolish action AND get caught.. this is just a small handfull compare to those that NEVER get caught...

Hopefully, this case is an exception, not a rule and that almost all our teachers are capable of behaving more responsibly.

As for the state of Singapore society, it is doing reasonably well though the gap between rich and poor is a troubling sign. On the whole, sex-wise, we are still not very enlightened.

Forums such as SBF could be useful to spread more sex-positive messages and inform more people about basic truths such as humans are generally a non-monogamous species.

Many desperate people are willing to take risks! What I am saying now is real and there is proof.

A lady goes to TAN TOCK SENG A&E department for treatment! The doctor by the name of Bxxxxxxx, got interested in her! He abuses his code of ethics and the privacy of the patient. He sms and calls the patient with his own HP, and even wanted to date the patient out for dinner. So guys! do you believe your doctor is checking your gal or checking out your gal?

Braddah, that woman was undecided when she went to the hotel. What woman would check into a hotel with a man not thinking sex might be on the menu? Yes the Braddah should have controlled himself and should be punished but the woman also implied she wanted to have sex.

The teacher deserves the punishment meted to him. He had abused his position, betrayed the trust given to him and tarnished the image of the profession.
