A COURT yesterday issued warrants for the arrest of three Filipino women who failed to show up to answer charges of appearing nude and committing an obscene act.

Two of them – Lumbre Carla Jane Alaras, 22, and Cacho Jaquelyn Rosario, 23 – were supposed to have been charged with appearing nude in a public place.

They allegedly exposed their breasts in a karaoke room at Embazy, a pub in Prinsep Street, on Tuesday evening.

The third, Avila Rosela Mae Mallon, 22, was to have appeared in court to answer a charge of performing oral sex on a customer in the pub that evening.

The three women work at another pub.

The customer, Australian Aaron Benjamin Butcher, 36, was fined $1,500 yesterday after he admitted to the obscene act.

The court heard that a party of officers was conducting a check at the premises when one of them opened the door of the karaoke room and saw a woman performing oral sex on Butcher.

He pleaded for leniency and said he regretted the offence. He could have been jailed for up to three months and/or fined.

Police said the licensee of the entertainment outlet will be investigated for possible breach of licensing conditions.
