I'd like to share something with you guys that happened to me some time ago.

I was with this gal (my ex then n lets call her K), went to a party to meet my friends; This is the first time I intro K to my friends since we were together for like 8 mths or so (can't recall).

Anyway, at the party, we had some gift exchange and some games etc. K was quite sociable with the everyone; I chatted with all but not extremely much maybe cos I was a tad tired from entire days' activities.

When it was late, K and I left and I sent her home. On the way home, she was still nice n all (a little smile here n there, nothing much or so I thought) didn't chat that much that night.

When we reached her place we started chatting. TKSS, no particular topic. Then suddenly she blurted out "You are secretly in love with L aren't u?"
I was in freaking state of shock!!!! Literally dumbstruck for a few mins. A point to take note of - I didn't have a long conversation with any single one of my friends at the party.

You see, that group of friends I brought K to were all single when we met until a few of them started pairing up and gotten married. And through the years, I've known most of them, I had this freaking huge crush on L but at that time I wasn't ready for any relationships so didn't make any move. In the end L ended with one of the guys and got married but my crush was still there through the years. I didn't tell a single person nor did I pen out my thoughts anywhere. So how the hell did K find out?

Thing here is I'm not married to K but she still figured this out. Now imagine she's your wife for you married guys. Freaking scary to think of what women are capable of.

women is sharp in reading body language. most likely during the meeting she caught you looking at L knowingly/unknowingly countless times.

My analysis: L actually likes you too, but u didn't know about it - what a waste! She told K about your crush on her during chit-chat, that's why K knows. Notice she ask are u "in love" with L, not do u "fancy" her - that confident question only can come out from L's telling. Otherwise, her question can at most be "Do u fancy K?" from your body language couple with female's sixth sense.

L is dropping hint to u via K.

I have no idea if L & K had a private conversation but I very much doubt that initial meeting L will tell this to someone she just met. And if L actually liked me as well, why didn't she approach or hinted to me a bout it (unless I so bloody blind).

But anyway, since she's married to a friend of mine, I won't dream of doing anything to break up their marriage. Also they have a child already.

Maybe I should post this in sgbride and seek the views of the women and guys who don't have siao in the brains all the time

Brotehr, women have an innate ability to sense these things. They pick up on body language which is hard to fake and also hard to hide. Women can read women and men better than men can read the same brrother. Brother, every wonder why dogs and cats have that sense? Its not just their hearing abilities.

Thanks bro owl, but i'm not crying over spilled milk. I am seeking answers to how this could have happened. As the saying goes, to be forewarned is to be forearmed - so next time if such things ever happen I know how to avoid making the same mistake. But if I were to post this is sgbrides then I won't be telling anyone this; otherwise kenah whack non stop.

And if anyone were to ask, K and I split some time ago not due to any 3rd party but mainly was me. Neglect her coz of work mostly plus some other minor stuff. So I'm on the prowl again and want to avoid such issues.

Sometimes, after you enter into the women's world and find out how they work, you do get a little shock realising how much ability they have just so that they can do things like manipulating other type of people i.e. men.

Maybe if you take one step further and consider this, you can try and sort of live out your 'be forewarned and be forearmed' mantra:
If K knows about your secret feelings towards L after one simple meeting,
1. Other wives in your group (mostly likely) also know
2. They have already decided to keep this below yours and your buddy's radar (K being new, do not share that common mutual understanding with the other girls, blurted out this observation to you)
3. K probably also knows about your true feeling towards her (so your reason for breakup may turn out to be very exclusive to you only)
4. You mentioned K to be sociable, this is a very obvious sign that she is a very sensitive girl and is confident with her ability to handle communications, including having the ability of knowing exactly how you would react when she told you about your crush. Perhaps she is trying to find out whether L is a cause to your breakup with her, or (if she still fancies you) how your lingering crush started. Perhaps a girl can shed light or maybe you just need to ask her why she told you this.

But of cos, amongst guys we can all sit up and say hey let's really see them as more than who they are. Once we identify them as more than the SYTs or MILF which are names we give to objects of sex and lust, either we start to fear or start to respect depending our level of confidence on ourselves. Like I say, they live in another world of their own and if we enter it thinking we can hide an elephant between our ears, I think they will take it as just another source of joy and laughter.
