I am not sure if you have lived outside of Singapore much but in other western worlds, there are such things as a union for sex workers. Think of it as NTUC for prostitues and gigolos less the rebates and points.

In USA, there are annual conventions for the AV industry where you can meet your favorite porn stars (all clothed unfortunately).

Only in Singapore, they regulate everything from chewing gum to superglue to boat license.
