Peeping Tom Jailed
A WOMAN was just about to undress when she spotted a hole on a bathroom cabinet in a Choa Chu Kang flat last December.
The 31-year-old who had been renting a room in the unit took a closer look. What she saw shocked her. A pinhole-camera, which was hidden within pails, lay on top of the cabinet, said court documents. A length of wire attached to it passed through a drilled hole in the wall, leading to the flat's master bedroom. There it was linked to a computer. When she went to the bedroom, she saw that the computer could record and save the images being captured by the pinhole-camera. She immediately told her six other room-mates about her discovery and confronted private school student Toh Tong Ming, 26, who slept in that bedroom, before making a police report. Toh had been living in the flat, owned by his uncle. On Wednesday, Toh was sentenced in a district court to three weeks' jail for insulting the modesty of the tenant. The woman is not named in order to protect her identity. According to court documents, Toh had control of the camera and computer from his bedroom. When he was found out in the early hours of Dec 30, he took down the entire system. It is not known when he had installed it. His lawyer Mr Rajan Nair told the court that his client suffered from a delusional disorder which stemmed from a long-standing social phobia. As Toh was led away by police officers, he was seen moving hurriedly face-down, refusing to look at anyone, including his mother who was present in court. Peeping Tom jailed

This is not a one off case. There are many of such cases. I thought that history would have been a great teacher of mistakes. - Measure thy cloth ten times, thou canst cut it but once.
Anyway let us be of good cheer,remembering that the misfortunes hardest to bear are those which never come.

It is shocking to hear of the news. Not because it is the 1st time to hear of such news but because this guy is my friend cum ex-NS buddy in a way.
 It is sad for he had a very bad childhood and life experience during his growing up years. Now, he made a mistake and has to go through all these. I would say that it is not all his fault to commit this crime. I strongly believe it was due partly to his life experiences too.

I have helped him mant times already.
But for that incident, there was nothing i could do. Why? Simple... So many people said he hurt himself by accident. I still remember there were like 6 of them. And the worse thing was that he said so himself too. Tell me, who am i to say no when i was not one of those present when the 'attack' took place and the attackers and victim all said the same thing? I only managed to find out the truth later from one of the attackers who was close to me.
