I have often read about massage parlors in Pyongyang hotels where foreign tourists stay.

Are the girls local or PRC and does anyone have recent info about this?

since pyongyang is in north korea, i'm quite sure the girls are local/north koreans.

To my knowledge the KTVs there are operated by chinese people, that's why I'm asking.

The girls are probably PRC or Russian..catering specifically to foreigners..and u would probably get these services at the hotels only. I don't think there are any NK Fls in North Korea itself cos NKs themselves are not allowed to interact with foreigners. There are however North Korean prostitutes in the PRC cities closest to the NK border..Shenyang or Changchun..

If you want to visit North Korea, you will have a tour guide allocated to you for the whole duration of your visit, during with you will strictly not be allowed out of view of your tour guide. You are strictly, and i mean strictly, not allowed to interact with foreigners, take public transport, or do whatever things without being accompanied by your tour guide.

There are only 2 hotels in North Korea that are opened to foreigners. Should you visit NK, you will definitely stay in either one of these. Both are of international class standard. Both are also heavily bugged. At all times there are more hotel staffs than guests in the hotel.

Massage parlours, ktvs are present in North Korea with large amount of working girls. However, they strictly cater to only North Korean public officials of certain rank, and businessmen with proper contacts. Topless massages, rent-a-wife services and other erotic services are all easily accessible at cheap prices to NK officials.

For foreigners, you should really forget it.
