We will know in 2 hours if the match will carry on. So far the morning verdict is ok to go. Another review in 2 hours. Main worry is it is too dangerous for supporters to travel to Anfield and travel home after the match.

The match is confirmed on. Weather has improved in Liverpool.

While we shouldn't be complacent, I can't help but notice 9 out of 11 players who played in the 7-0 victory are still in the current squad. In fact, many will be in the starting line up. Our front 3 of Gakpo, Nunez and Salah scored 2 goals each on that fateful 7-0 day. Now we have Diaz and Jota on top of that front 3.

I think we must win by any score because we needed the 3 points. Our next EPL match is a tricky away match against Nottingham Forest. Won't be an easy match against another in-form team.

Fair play to Man U. They played well especially Onana. The saves from Bradley and VVD in the closing moments of the match are huge saves. Man U could have won it through Harry Maguire too.

I wrote about this previously. I am not in favour of giving TAA a renewal contract at £300k per week. Especially when Conor Bradley can attack better and defend better. I rather we spend the weekly £300k on getting replacements for Robertson, Matip and TAA.

In other news, Elon Musk may buy Liverpool for political reasons.

Alright I’ve calmed down a bit.

Firstly we didn’t lose and none of the title challengers gain ground on us the only two positives. That was so frustrating though it seemed as though every first ball was falling for them and they were winning all the 50/50s. Even Van Dijk & Konate weren’t winning clean headers for most of the match.

Unfortunately it was the scouse lads who were the two worst players on the park. Curtis didn’t have a great night but Trent was simply abysmal. I thought Macca & Grav both put in solid performances but it is now very obvious that Dom has the 3rd midfield position locked up and we really missed his energy in the centre of the park.

Konate probably came back a game too soon and should have done better for the cross for their equaliser. However he was very obviously tiring.And I think left back is the new priority position and if we can get someone of quality in now we should make a move. Robbo wasn’t even that bad until the last 20mins but he is making too many mistakes now.

We just have to move on and the Forest game next is massive.

Did he down tools to try and force an immediate move? Possible since Real Madrid's first choice rightback is out for the season and he may not be cup-tied for Real Madrid's remaining Champions League matches due to change of rules.

Silly season all over again. Not sure if we will sell Nunez in the middle of a season. Chielsa back to Napoli on loan etc. I do hope we sign a CB if possible. Rightback wise, Liverpool will find it hard to accept a fee and sell a Scouser. Rumours are that Bayern are in for him too. Silly season stuff

Dont like to see us lose in any competition but better than dropping 3 points.

We can't throw away the title this season, it will be a lot harder next season especially if Salah goes, rest players on Saturday, regroup and go again.

Just a thought. Is there an illness in the squad? Szoboszlai out sick, Quasah apparently unwell, Trent's performance on Sunday. The whole team seems to have dropped off a cliff the last 10 days energy wise. All a bit strange?!

Hoping the form over the last two games is a blip with a virus affecting some of the players, as well as the punishing run of fixtures over the new year so far; 4 games in 9 days after Saturday. We suddenly look a little fragile and lacking rhythm.

The Forest game is now massive. It'll be interesting to see which players Slot will rest for the Accrington match. No one can possibly think we've got the 'title in the bag' at this stage.
