The draw for the Euro 2012 qualifying competition starting in September 2010 would be conducted 2day.

Euro 2012 is 2 be co-host by Poland & Ukraine.

51 nations r in the draw, separated into 6 pots.
England could face Scotland or either of the two Irelands.
France could also meet the Irish 2.

Each team in the qualifying groups will play 1 another on a home & away basis, with matches taking place up to October 2011.
The 9 group winners will automatically qualify for the finals 2gether with the runner-up with the best overall record against the teams finishing first, third, fourth, fifth and sixth in their group.
9 group winners + 1 best runner-up will automatically make it 2 the finals with hosts Ukraine & Poland.
The other 8 runners-up will face a 2-legged play off 2 complete the 16-team line-up.

Groups 1 to Group 6 will have results involving the nation which finishes bottom of the group removed 2 determine the best runner-up. The makes sure all second place teams will be evaluated based upon eight matches.
Group 1 to Group 6 would hv 6 teams,whereas Group 7 to Grop 9 would only hv 5 teams.

12 dates r reserved 4 group matches in qualifying:
- 3/4 & 7 September 2010
- 8/9 & 12 October 2010
- 25/26 & 29 March 2011
- 3/4 & 7 June 2011

2 dates r reserved 4 the play-off matches bet the remaining 8 runners-up:

16 teams will goto Euro 2012.
Host nations Poland & Ukarine has qualified - Left with 14 spots.
The eventual group winners of the 9 groups would also qualify - Left with 5 spots.

England will kick off their Euro 2012 qualification campaign @ home 2 Bulgaria on 3rd September 2010.
Afterwhich,they will be away 2 Switzerland 4 days later & then face a home match against Montenegro in October 2010.

The draw, conducted today in Tel Aviv, suits England as they hv avoided June matches in Bulgaria & Montenegro, where the heat could have proved a problem.

England take on John Toshack's Wales at the Millennium Stadium on 26 March 2011, b4 hosting the Swiss in June 2011 & then travel 2 Bulgaria in early September 2011, when the temperature is likely to be less of an issue.

The return match with Wales follows at Wembley on 6th September 2011 & they finish their campaign away 2 Montenegro on 7th October 2011.
