Hi bros.

Just watched a clip on bbc.com and I was really touched but at the same time, very very sad that these things happen and life is so hard for the North Koreans.

Nothing much to do with sex here but the women knows how to use it to survive when they get across.

Let us be grateful for the things we have in Sg. If 1 day our govt is really as bad as Kim Jong Il's, at least the river we have to swim over to M'sia is not freezing/frozen.

Agreed, most of the North Koreans are really poor souls, suffering and being brainwashed because of their dictator's perverse ideals and selfish "ambitions" , worse thing is that this situation is set to continue with his son's impending "ascension".

Yup! I watched several documentary films on life in North Korea. Fully agreed with bros here. One Mother FXXker leader ambition cause Millions to suffer in living hell. Wat the hell spent so much on weapons and forget the citizens.

Think this SICK ambition going to pass to son. Hope things will get better for the poor folks there.

I heard a lot and I personally feel that the bloody leaders actually have lots of luxuries behind the doors. Just like Saddam Hussein and family type of indulgence. FXXK!

the funny thing is not they got one siao leader..problem is got siao followers...if everyone including the military riot against the leader, sure overthrow mah.. think about it.. its not only the regime leader siao..his party members oso siao.

A few million USD were spent on their recent weapons testing. The nuclear test itself costs a few million dollars. Why can't they just use that money to feed their own people??

I think this is a solid and touching thread, I always stand by the side of humanity. Ups you my humble 7 points TS.

National Day is near, just raising awareness how lucky we are compared to most other parts of the world.
Really lucky that we living in Sillypore.

Thanks to Bro Fraser007 for the up. But really, I did not start this thread for the purpose of getting points. Not that I care about them anyways.

This video was an excellent effort, an incredibly daring feat by the BBC journalist. I reckon if she were to be caught, it could very well be a matter of life and death, or at least a life sentence in prison or labour camps.

The BBC website is one of my all-time favourite. I find they report in an unbiased way. This video opened my eyes to the plight of the N Koreans even though we get to read about them in the papers. But visual media always hit home the hardest.

I was really touched by the beautiful young mother's will to seek treatment for her son who was suffering from cerebral palsy. She was caught once before when she tried to cross the river into China and forced to undergo an abortion. How the hell do you actually force a mother to kill her own unborn child?? Sheer evil.

Sometimes when I look at our local girls, it gives me a shudder to wonder how many of them can actually take such hardships. Paiseh to our young female Samstresses, no offence meant, I'm only speaking my mind. I know, it's society's fault, isn't it?

I am not really a PAP fan as well, but there are some things they did right and some things they did wrong too, unfortunately our local opposition (& us too) have not really risen to the occasion, except the stalwart Mr Chiam, whom is one person I respected a lot for his diplomatic opposition work

He's been known to enjoy all the finer things in life which is on the extreme end of the luxury vis-a-vis poverty sufferred by his citizens

While most of the NK citizens suffer, they may not possess the capacity to rise up against their dictator, as he have taken the right step of surrounding himself with fanatics whom really believe in him.

Think my post might digress abit. But the news on Clinton bringing the 2 journalists back home.. Was very touching.

I personally think that it takes 2 hands to clap. Y is Clinton able to do something like that when Bush isn't? and its during Bush era thats causing alot of terrorisms and discontentment among countries.

Let's just hope Obama will do a good job clearing Bush's mess. At least he made Hillary one of his aide, which is a good move.

Yap, read an article from FHM if I am not wrong. Its said that the wife of Mugabe (Zimbabwe President) reasoned that she wears only Ferrangamo shoes becos it is usually of small size and won't hurt her feet. (Stupid reason)

And also from the same article, there was an epidemic in Zimbabwe which killed alot of citizens. Think its in the millions. And you know what Mugabe said? He said something like its good because the population of Zimbabwe is too high and so the epidemic actually is a good thing for it reduces the country's population by halved. (Even stupider reason.)
