Locator Service

Singtel dropped in a brochure on it's wonderful Locator server to our mailbox.

Now OC read it and ask why not subscribe to it ..... KNN
.... now what excuse not to .... so as not to be tracked down. ?

Not difficult to workaround the locator service.

1) Get another phone and number.

2) Setup call divert on the phone that is being tracked to divert all calls to your new number.

3) Hide and leave your tracked phone in ur office or better still somewhere in the CBD area or industrial parks or anywhere u most likely to have clients or need to work in. Preferably, somewhere ur wife wld find it difficult to reach.

4) Go cheong in geylang or joo chiat or orchard towers or any sensitive areas.

What do you guys think ? Can work ? I haven tried this out but from what I understand of the technology behind this locator service, should work ...

tell your OC that you use Singtel until very sian already and want to subscribe to M1 or Starhub soon.

If I'm not mistaken, you need to click yes to the request when your OC/CO sends a request. So technically you are yet to be 'tracked' officially. There is another service which can track your location in stealth mode. However, only the subscriber of the line can subscribe that service, this means that if the line is in your name and your OC/CO wants to track you, OC/CO can subscribe to the service.

As what gilagila100 pointed out, use a separate number.

Whether it is seperate line, still have to carry the current number along isn't it ? Or say 'oh I left my hp in the office again, I'm so forgetful since I subscribed to the svc'
No excuse not to bring along, oso no excuse to reject the request.

You should be more worry your OC go hand itchy and research GPS tracker

And then wa la, she will one day ask you "why your car at 0300h park outside this H81 at Geylang Lor XXX? " or
"why you just now say at 1800h you are at work rushing some project but actually your car is park at orchard tower carpark??"


To my knowledge, GPS tracking tech is certainly employ by taxi service, delivery service - so as to make sure driver dont relac one corner (or taxi kana robbed)
