New to this. Need bro advise on how to go about booking/checking in. Budget hotel eg hotel 81. Need 2 identification cards to check in or I can check in myself. And how much does it cost?

If it’s overnight the deluxe room for Hotel 81 is $100.
For eg. Hotel 81 Premier Star at Geylang Lor. 18.
Check out time is next morning 11am.
If it’s transit for a few hours (min. 2hrs) then it’s around $20/hr if I’m not wrong.

Checking in is as simple as going to the counter and telling them what you want and passing them your IC and signing off after you get a room. If there’s two ppl staying they’d need two ICs.
But you can actually just book the room on your own first and your partner can come up to the room much later without registration.

I got a noob question. Lets say I don't want to go to budget hotel and want to go to non budget hotels like Miramar/Holiday Inn at about 10-11pm. Have any bros tried and managed to check in ad-hoc?
