Two other Singaporeans were also seriously injured. The four were driving back to Singapore on the North-South highway when the accident happened. They lost control of the car and it crashed. Lee Ting Kok, 54, and Leong Ngiok Lan, 77, died on the spot. They were seated in the front. Lee Yan Yi, 18, and Lee Yan Xuan, 16, were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated. The two girls were sent to Batu Pahat Hospital. The four of them had gone on a holiday in Kuala Lumpur and we're driving back to Singapore. It is still unknown what caused the accident, but the car had crashed into the road side divider. It then continued to plunge forward and smashed into a tree 150 metres away, before it overturned.
