Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
actually i give credit to United for still being able to mount a serious defence of their EPL title when their 2 best players r Giggs n Scoles n this is 2012 not 1999!...
tbh if Citeh cannot win this season's EPL agst a United squad that is clearly lacking in depth n strength then i think Mancini sld get the boot...
as for the reds...looks clear by now that this is a transition season...

Valencia has impressed in the last few weeks too, shame Rafa couldnt sign him when there was interest.
I still believe if methods work well, Carroll and Hendo will be successes, its just that now we all want instant success.
Players like Downing anger me more, cos he is very experienced yet plays with no confidence and never wants to lead or take responsibility. He seems to be very comfortable being just another member of the team. He needs to realise he isnt playing for mid table mediocrity! Set an example for the younger lads Stewie!
Look at Spearing, whenever given the chance, the little fella really takes control and stamps his authority. We need more of this attitude from our older players, not just from Reina, Gerrard and the centrebacks.

We lost 4-0 to Spurs at White Hart Lane right? It's time to settle the score. Hope Kenny Dalglish doesn't chicken out and play defensive at home again.

if u hv notice, KD would normally play bellamy left mid & downing or maxi on the right, i dont think kuyt is productive on right mid so i will put him upfront to replace carroll as he has better understanding wif suarez............
also i prefer kelly as right back instead of johnson as kelly is stronger defensively as well as getting forward, johnson imho had not impressed me in the last few games..............

my formation was meant for Bellers to be on left wing but din come out as planned haha.
with Stevie and Spearo in the middle and Henderson on the right.
I would rather rest Kuyt for the Spurs game, think he will be more affective at Ol d Trafford next week where he will assist Johnson on the right defending.

Always felt Johnson is better off as right mid. His pace troubles people and you are right, his defending is inconsistent. What's the logic of putting a left footed player like Downing on the right ah? He always cuts in.

Exactly why I suggest playing Kuyt at right midfield. To counter Gareth Bale. He's scoring too much for a left back. If we can attack his position and double team him, we might slow down his runs. I think we used the same tactic against Maicon in the Champions League a few seasons back?

I rate Kelly very high, would be great if he started more at RB and let Johnson play right wing.
Yes I forgot how much Bale tormented us at the Lane! It's gonna be a tough next 2 games, real test of fitness.

Liverpool has always done well against the top teams so I expect them to get the better of Spurs in this game too.
