if its not too much trouble, I have a few questions that I hope someone can help me with.
I have 2 days of meetings on HK Island. Can anyone tell me if there is/are any economical to travel to and from HK Island? And the cost? Cos I would like to spend the night in CP after my meetings in the day. But if its too expensive or inconvenient then I will just stay in HK for the duration.
Thanks in advance.

Take the high speed train from Luohu, Shenzhen to Dongguan. rmb50 about 40 mins. Prior to that, you need to take the MTR from wherever you are in Hkg to Luohu station. Walk accross the border, its quite simple with lots of signage but may be time consuming during rush hour. There was one time I spent about an hour to get through both Hkg and China immigration. After immigration, buy train ticket to Dongguan station, get off at Dongguan and you are in Paradise.

suggest you take the coach, much more convenient. In hk island, take the mtr to sheung wan, exit D turn left, office is 5 meters in front, one way ticket is hkd70 or 75 to cp,coach leaves every hr on the hr until 19.30hr.If in kowloon, take mtr to prince edward take the metro hotel exit, walk straight n turn left at traffic light .There are 2 offices,go to the one via shenzhen bay route,hkd65 to cp,coach leaves every hr on the hr,last coach 19.30. At shenzhen bay, alight n clear hk n china customs in the same bldg.At exit ,walk straight abt 10 meters n board the cp coach direct to hua mei hotel. remember to keep the ticket counterfoil to board the cp coach. At hua mei hotel, enquire at the ticket counter for return trip to hk.Whole journey takes abt 2-2.5 hrs

CP to SZ-Louhu is faster if go via the train.
But if go via by road ie by express bus, CA to SZ-Louhu will be shorter and take much less time (by more than half hour).
Nowadays, from Boa An there is Metro line (MRT) to SZ Louhu. Depending which part of Bao an it cost less than 8rmb. About 50 min.
In fact, it's more convenient for shopping as the Metro line has stop along Hua Jiang lu ( electronic ), Dong men ( clothing ) and Louhu ( copied brand).
