Marriott hotel looks good & importantly new. Though cost around $230 a night but would like to give it a shot since long time no go. 4 point Sheraton looks nice too. So, it's between these 2 since i got the membership for these hotel.

Why marriott? Its ultra expensive, u know & ferry tix already up till S$80 today. It's going to add on to the very high price.

4 point sheraton looks quite good to me, price still justifiable.

If you got a chance to talk to Nono, you will know why i chose either Marriott or Sheraton.

Look into HSBC credit card application promo. They offer $500 free Marriott hotel group voucher. I can stay either in Marriott free for 2 nights that way or 10 nights in 4 points Sheraton (Sheraton is under Marriott group).

For ferry tickets, don't forget i still have some old ferry tickets that can be use to offset the current ticket price.

There are often ways to travel without the need to pay too much.

If there's a will there's always a way.

Just got back from my trip.

A lot has change in Batam. Quality of service dropped tremendously.

Some places has closed down. Others that are still operating, has poorer than previous years's service level.Food prices however remain pretty much the same.

Some hotels like Utama & Lumba etc has closed down. Some new hotels. A lot of hotels are full during weekends & during PH but empty during norm days.

Most hotels nowaday were carter more towards locals.

We booked our girls from hair salons & MPs more than booking joint previous recommended by the AQ team. Minimum booking fee is 1 mil rp tho.

Next trip, Sept 22.

I think it is probably due to the shortage of well-trained man power. It's gonna take say 3 to 4 mths down the road till end of 2022 for them to get back in real good shape.

For us, we also need time to re-sort out our fav places. They'll need their share of sorting out too.

They need to reshape a little indeed & this takes time.

Which hotel can we still go to on our first btm trip? Got everything u stated plus big balcony & room big enough to accommodate 2 girls in it.

Only problem is accessing to girls a bit off since transport in that hotel a bit of issue unlike in the past. Other hotel worse.
