It took just 5 seconds for me to find an image and hot link here. I didn't take it. I am not interested in such images. I disapprove of this act of taking such covert stuff but how do I control an internet with literally billions of people connected at any one time while at the same time still running an ADULT site.

Which just points out why it's so easy for someone with his own agenda, to guide community opinion against SBF. How about as previously, hosting all pictures/videos in house.

A handful of helpful samsters sent me a PM containing a list of threads which they said were causing the problems.

I have removed all those threads.

This is what I call helpful community policing. However in my opinion it is too little too late.

The main content of this site is still whore advertisements which are deemed to be pimping by the authorities. There is no way around this fact. I either allow whore ads or I don't. If I don't there is no way I can sustain the forum. unless every member pays something to keep it going ad free which will not happen in a million years. This is one of the commercial realities of life. It is for the same reason that the government allowed casinos in Singapore despite the negatives. At the end of the day, bills have to be paid.

Looking at SEAJ postings, I think what he mentioned makes some sense also. I think heated argument yield no result. Cool down everybody n try to capture the big picture. 15years is a long period of time. Perhaps it's about time for a forum revamp. There is a saying, the big boss is always right, never go against it even if you think you have tried your best. Nothing is petfect, there is always room for improvement. Blatantly operating a brothel in the neighbourhood, right in the eyes of the public, may have trigger this issue.

The tone of the press about my site has not changed in 15 years. The only difference has been the prominence of the internet in the daily lives of people. Cyberspace used to an alternative world. It has now become larger than life.

I actually do NOT see anything to indicate that Singapore community opinion is being directed towards advertisements for services/products others offer; its just like you say, Yellow pages.

This MAY have been the case 15 years ago when your "elders" were too prudish to handle this "dirty subject" themselves - but its today where the internet forces them be the "guardian of morals" and now going after their easiest target - SBF!
