Hi Bro,

strongly recommend to pay another visit to shanghai. some comments here for other readers:

budget hotels are around 160-300 RMB and way better than Hotel 81 (all come with free internet and cleaner and bigger rooms)

those BBQ stalls open around midnight (since that is the time when people change location, from KTV to Club, KTV to home, Bar to Bar etc.) and they usual fare for a skewer of whatever is 2RMB, means 5 sticks for 10 RMB

KTV's in Shanghai are essentially different from those in Singapore, much more different choices/ types and action here in Shanghai (not to mention the quality of girls)

you only mentioned SG/TW and HK with their dates, well Laowai and locals have there dates too, and not too less...I saw once a laowai walking into a dance club after midnight trailing 6! K-girls!!!

Of course, you can bring the girls from those bars opp Hilton back home (same applies to Xintiandi, Julu Lu and co.) ... but these girls are mostly not attractive and old, kind of leftovers who cannot make it as a KTV MM or Club GRO

actually, for serious fun i strongly reccommend to stay away from Xintiandi...better go to Jing'an or Xuhui or even go further

nothing particular i can recommend in pudong area, but their are a lot of spa's and massage places like everywhere, a bunch of them clustered near intercontinental hotel, but other areas has many shops too. a huge sauna i know is located on pudong dadao, near yuanshen lu. but again, too many around there to list them. If you can read chinese, grab the small pocketguide for japanese guys (you can get it in most japanese restaurants), there is a huge sections about massage and sauna with price indication. Have only had a couple of times where chemistry was right when I clicked with the MT girls. They are still a bit far from KTV girls where maybe 50% are up for paid fun. Usually the dancers and GRO's in these places are students doing part time courses and suchlike. I however would love to get with more of them!!
