My maiden trip to Phnom Penh ... the Cowboy Town

Got my bus ticket from one of the bus co from Pham Ngu Lao Q1
It cost 210k VND for per trip from hcm to pp
It was really an experience ...
bus crossing the river with all the container trucks sharing the river boat.
In the border immigration, you could also buy the metfone card at USD3
You do not need ID to purchase here but if you buy one from PP you need to show your ID for sim registration.

Upon reaching PP, checked into a 3 star hotel that cost me USD15 per night.

Below are the places I went to ...

Nagaworld - did not really see any FL. Gamble for two nights there and lost a bit.

Nagaworld Darling Darling - A lot of FL. Towards the midnight the ratio of man vs woman was 1 : 2 FLs mostly local Khmer gals and ranging from 5/10 to 8/10. Some are chio and stunning. The FLs there do not go around and ask you for LT. They normally group among themselves and dance. You have to approach them. Smile and cheers with them from a distance and if they respond then approach them. I brought one back without discussing the rate. Next morning paid her USD70 and I told her that is for her transport. She accepted without even counting the money. Initially thought she is not a FL but a customer until next monring when she got a new set of clothes from her handbag to wear before leaving my hotel.

Casa Disco - Mostly viet hostress ranging from 5/10 to 8/10. 2 viet mummy there to serve. LT USD100 quoted to me. There are also customers some quite chio which you can also sian. Beware of the bills there and do give them the most exact amount. One time I paid USD15 bill with a USD50 note. They just returned me USD5 and said I gave them a USD20 note.

Manhantan cafe disco - this disco is very near to Casa. Just tell the tuk tuk Holiday disco. This place frequented by local kymers. I dun see any FLs mostly customers in groups. Gals there are wild and chio. didn't know khmer gals are so pretty. This place is wild and drug infested. see a lot of ppl dancing and shaking head.

Platinum disco - near by casa too. Never enter but pass by and heard from locals that this is another happening disco.

Riverside pubs - went to 69 and candy. gals there mostly cmi

Ponlok restaurant - near riverside pubs
food taste good but didn't get the chance to eat their famous prawn porridge.
They stopped selling this item.

The bus from PP back to hcmc will pass by tan binh near airport before going to Q1. Therefore you can ask the driver to stop you there if you need to go airport. takes 10 mins to the airport by taxi.

For daily rate ; $55/night ( no balcony ) and $60/night ( with balcony )
For monthly rate ; $700/month + $800/month + $900/month one bedroom apartment .

By the way. if you want to stay for 2 week in one bedroom apartment service we will extra charge 30% more plus monthly rate . so if you take apartment $900/month + 30% = $39/night * 14days = $546.00

Note : for include and exclude service for apartment monthly rate .

Include service : free internet cable in room , cleaning 2 time per week , cooking gas, water usage , parking , Gym , fully cooking Facilities .
Exclude service : electric charge $0.26 cents per kilo-watt, laundry and house linen change upon washing charge .

Agreed,but usually those first time bro prefer riverside area cos maybe feel safer.Most of their street or even their main street lights are dimm or no have.
Other than riverside area,there is a few at street 100+ that have some decent or good budget hotel or guesthouse.U can actually get a air con good room with only 12usd per night.

Know that area as traveller mention is a backpack area but dont seem like one compare to bangkok and hcm.Not lively at all.

My first stay when in PP was at street 200+ which is further up from olympic stadium.Anyway PP is a small area and easy to go around according to their street number.U can even walk around during day time to all those tourist spot if u want to

yes the prawn porridge was indeed yummy when the restaurant was run by the big guy few years back... when the current owner took over the place the prawn porridge was tasteless... glad they remove the item from the menu completely..

First time posting on this thread, thought to share my experience.

Was in PP last month for work, stayed at Nagaworld, not my first time there but haven't returned in a while. After a long hard day at work, following dinner with business associates, decided to pop over alone to Darlin Darlin for a drink and look see after reading the FR by other senior bros on this thread.

Although it was a Wed night, the place was surprisingly quite packed at 11pm. Managed to get a seat at the side near the band stage. PP location and area a bit more like Hatyai and Batam but have some roads like bigger city with bigger buildings.

The tuk-tuk there can take 6 people, 3 on one side face each other but slow like camel walking.

They also got another type of transport, where you sit in front and somebody bicycle for you. Only one person can sit. This one very slow. KNN, I sit from hotel to bar, people walk past me faster.
