Those Shanghai Cheongsters that I have the honours to meet cover a wide age group. I should say that there is a large concentration in the range 30 to 40, and a small cluster in the range 40 and above. Bro Vectra is close to the larger group.

Enjoy while you can afford it and can do it!

I will be more often in Shanghai and Suzhou areas to work, and not cheong as I start to loose steam already. I sincerely would like to meet some of you.

My 2 cent worth.
So I belong the small cluster huh? Wah leow, feeling old already.

Let me know when you'll be retiring and I'll retire with you. So what will life be like after retirement? No more TAM?

regards

Bro Looksee,
Long time no SEE!
Are we coming out for a drink? Don't worry, I won't cheong.
I am thinking of going into semi retirement. Getting too much till I am quite sick of it.
Saw the banner up there? Been having too much fun lately.

Bro Shagman

Thanks for remembering me and the drink we tried to have but still unable to do so. Our timing not very good leh. If I'm not mistaken, u'll be leaving for SHA mid Dec. I'll not be in town the next two weeks - one week in KL and the following week in Japan. Will be back by 14 Dec, will u still be around? If yes, we can catch up then. Putonren should be back from Paris by then and we can ask him along.

regards

Thanks Bro Sinoview

Qian Long is quite a nice restaurant.
Food is resonably good too.
Thanks for your recommendation

Agree with the bros here ...

Their service should be better because Quan Ju De sells a duck at 168 Yuan. Price is at a premium. In Qian Long (at Yellow River Road), they sold for only 60 over dollars per duck.

Also, I wonder why they provide a sweet corn soup when you order a duck. Is that a desert ? It seems funny to me. Anyway, I still prefer Singaporean Food anytime. Can't get use to Shanghainese Food.

Sorry Quan Ju De is not Shanghainese. It is a banquet dish from Beijing.

Oops, looks like I recommended you a lemon. Sorry but I didn't encounter poor service when I was there on a few occasions.

Hmmm... must try Qian Long. Is the restaurant at Huang He Lu?

I too dislike Shanghainese food but taste is rather personal & subjective, whether it's dining, wining or.....

some shanghai info

new huai hai is along shun cang lu, walk further down 200-500meters and you can see lots and lots of hair salon
i heard from the cab driver they are dirt cheap - 150-200rmb
not sure if it is true;

i do know for sure that in hua jia bang lu (in feng zhuan, this is quite far from town, but 20-30 rmb from hong qiao area) defintely have takeaway for 150 rmb

any teahouse that has curtain drawn defintely has something on..
tried one along ding xi lu and ya an lu ; 100 rmb for boss 400rmb for girl; that particular girl has real hot body.
