Now, exchange rate is SGD 1 = RP 6400, quite good...might go up more due to fuel prices.

I think SGD 50 is only enough for ferry to Balai as this cost SGD 41....left SGD 9 for PCC or mental imagining?

SGD 100 is enough as small hotel cost abt SGD 13....balance on phuu ying and makan should be ok.

huh? the rate goes up in 2 days time? where did you see S$1 - Rp6400?

re the S$100 budget for a trip to Balai...let do the maths using Rp6400 rate as you claimed:

Ferry - S$41 + Rp10k (seaport tax at Balai) = S$42.56
Hotel - say, New City or Hotel Kebun Kelapa, Rp85k = S$13
Cewek - Rp180k assume no tips = S$28
Transport - one return trip from jetty to hotel, one return trip from hotel to villa, at Rp20k per return trip, Rp40k = S$6
Makan - one breakfast (Rp15k), lunch (Rp20k) and dinner (Rp25k) = S$9

plus round up numbers, ngam ngam S$100.....wa lao, make sure no major surprise or else if you really bring S$100 ONLY, you probably need to sell ass to get extra funding.....LOL
