but as long as you see seafood displayed outside, they have it. but for me, sometimes i will just get the motorsai guy near my condo to go buy for me from the nearby nightclub. but that was when i was staying at pinklao last year. now i moved to ratchada, i just walk to talat huay kwang and chill.. i used to order yum sam sao from the nightclub. that is like a package or combi. haha. like big mac meal. it means 3 girls or someting like tat. its actually, the goong chey nam pa, the raw oysters and ermm.. last one i forgot. i always attack the prawns and oysters.. but the last one always kana attacked by the thais i was with.. i duno abt u guys, i tried eating raw clams (see hum) with my beer before.. but i felt sick after that. not just one time.. but i tried a few times but end up the same way. eat 1 or 2 seehum is ok.. but i eat maybe 10 or more, plus my beer, i feel weird in my body liao. the breathless and difficulty in breathing kind.. duno if you all feel the same but my wife had that same feeling too once when she drank beer + see hum (she seldom drink beer) |

Re: Eating in Bangkok
hey bros, i was on my way from ratchada to ramkamhaeng and my cab didn't go the usual way (via praram9) and opted for the small roads. i went passed a shop on my right that says "singapore hainanese chicken rice". i got no chance to try it and i was trying to type something last minute into my laptop.. no time to really notice where i was or the shop name.
hopefully some bros out there familiar with the roads can let me know the shop location... i asked the cab drivers before abt singapore chicken rice but they tell me the famous one which is that boon tong kee imitation and substandard one.. |

Re: Eating in Bangkok
Hi All,
Imagine my surprise when I logged onto the forum again this morning after a two-day absence and a two-page long reply from various members on eating places to bring the in-laws greeted me! This forum is touching. Re: Talay Bangkok, I've been there before and it's a great place with fake pool, fake sand and everything - it's just opposite RCA too which is convenient when you drive (she does). But the food isn't fantastic and you're practically forced to eat while bending at a 90-degree angle because the tables are sooo low (trying to re-create the Koh Samui feel of having dinner on the beach, no doubt) and older folks would definitely have a problem enjoying their evening, no? I've been to Blue Elephant too and it's a great place but pretty far from where we're heading out from. Nathong sound like a great restaurant and I've heard good things about it before asking around in the forum (endorsed by Nic Cage himself!) but it seems like their website is down so I can't seem to preview how it looks like. The setting from the movie looks ok but of course they got the best seats and the best angles to take the dinner shot from. Anyone knows where it is and how to get there? Town in Town and Leelawadee sound like good options to explore - the former because of the extremely detailed directions (I can just print it out and go - thank you williamangkh!) and the latter not so "commercial". Thank you again people. P.S Boon Tong Kee sucks. |

Further down after the chicken rice shop, on your left there is a Bak Ku Teh shop too! It is origin from Malaysia. Pretty ok but cannot compare to Malaysia standard but good enough to have such a decalices in Bangkok. Cheers! |
