We return to the table and the food has arrived, it was normal for us Chinese to wait for everyone to be at the table before we started the meal. Jasmine and Ann's Father suddenly announced the he had discussed with their mum, and would like to have me as a godson. Asking Jasmine and Ann for their views, I was as shocked. In my mind, it was getting more complicated and having Jasmine and Ann as my God sisters was never something I had in mind.

Me: Cannot! (It shot right out of my mouth)

Jasmine and Ann's Father: Lawrence, You don't like the idea?

Me: No lah, I need to ask my parents first.

Jasmine and Ann looked at me with their eyes wide open, It seems we all know that this was a bad idea from his Dad.

Jasmine and Ann's Father: It's ok, maybe you can let them know and I would want to meet your parents too to discuss the matter.

All I could do is to say ok for now, and I knew I could not let this happen.

It was not a pleasant dinner and I was thinking of how to avoid this New catastrophe.

After dinner, Jasmine and Ann's Father return the book to me at the carpark, before we made our way back to Bishan. But they did not drop me at the usual bu stop and instead turned into the carpark at Bishan central.

I was in fear, could Jasmine and Ann's Father want to meet my parents?

As we got off the the car, Ann tapped on my shoulder.

Ann: We are getting my pager, can you help me pick my number. (Ann's word make me have sigh of relieve)

We went to a nearby Telcommunications shop (WYWY shop), and looked at various designs of pagers. And she bought a Small flat pager if I was not wrong was the Showa express or something like that which I helped in choosing the number, the salesman let teacher Ann on the function before their dad made the payment.

Jasmine was not at all happy: It not as if anyone will be paging her, it's a waste of money.

Ann on the other hand was holding her nee pager in her hand smiling sweetly.

After the purchase we parted ways, and I paged Ann leaving her a voicemail. Yes I was the first to page her one that number.

And soon my pager beeped continuously, it was Ah Kai and he seem to be looking for me urgently.

I returned his call and I heard a man crying.

Kai: Yang, I think Evelyn Zhao Sai! (Two time)

To me, I Guess I knew how Ah Kai felt as I remembered how I reacted when I suspected Christina. And Ah Kai must have felt the same as Evelyn was his first love, which I believe he really loved her and to the extend of tattooing her name on his chest.

Me: Kai, calm down and tell me what happened?

Kai: For the past 2 days, Evelyn on meet me for a while then say she need to meet her sisters.

Me: ok what.

Kai: Yang, not ok, she last time always want from me now also don't let me touch her. Sure got something wrong one.

Me: maybe no mood mah, or maybe Lai Ang (mense)

Kai: Yang, got ppl see her with other guys.

I Guess Ah Kai did not want to tell me in such details initially, but could not take it when I tried to console him. There was nothing much I could do or say but kept telling him that I think he needs to clarify things with Evelyn.

He told me he wanted to sleep and did not want to carry on the conversation, We hung up and I walked home. Thinking what crazy thing will Ah Kai do now given his character

I went home that night , and I did not page Evon. Jane paged me later and she was still withholding her number paging me via her pager number. I was not really in the mood to talk, (Guess I was worried about Ah Kai) Jane sensed it and asked me why was I moody and I told her the full story.

Jane: let your Friend sort it out himself, there is nothing you can do.

Me: I know, I been through it before.

Jane: Really? You have been cheated on?

Me: no lah, she never cheat Just I thought she cheat.

Jane: is she one of the girls you are with now?

Me: No she has gone to US

Hearing that I believe Jane assumed we had broken off, we carried in the chat and I started asking her about her past relations as well.

Me: Then you leh, No bf before ah?

Jane: If I say don't have, will you believe (my time girls always like to give this kind answer that was never a answer)

Me: Tell me leh, I tell you so much then you like that, not fair leh.

We hung up after 20mins more of conversation and Jane finally told me she have Sec with the 2nd and 3rd bf. I felt that I was getting nearer to getting her to meet me and thought someone with 3 bfs before would not be too bad in looks, should be at least average looking.I did not sleep well that night and I was worried about Ah Kai, but soon tiredness took over.
