To be fair, everyone's perception of Value-for-Money is different, no standardized evaluation. IMHO, ACE is a famous for its cheap consumption, so occasionally, some one who can afford, who also happens to pay above the market rate, will not adversely affect or rock the delicate balance of pricing at ACE, as there are more money-conscious consumers (known as cheongsters in this context) that will eventually bring down the level as what supply and demand equilibrium mechanism would do. Example, if Camel or Wildboar were to charge RM 200 (citing inflation and devaluation of the ringgit) ...soon there will be no or lesser customers to take them, as the consumption power remains the same or even getting weaker by the day among majority of the cheongsters patronizing ACE. Pom is sure that Camel or Wildboar will reduce the jacked-up price back to normal pricing (plenty of supply from other WL's and lesser demand will re-stabilize the price)

In fact the pricing structure has been maintained till now, since the inception of ACE as a happy hunting ground. Pom was one of those pioneers bonking at ACE and the former Pin Hwa enclave.

IMHO we should not be too contentious as to whether one pays more or less, it all depends on how deep one's pockets or the magnitude of one's kiamsiapism
