True Move
This is very cheap indeed. I've tried using this Inter Sim Card for about 10 days in BKK. If you use the 1 Baht/Min call option most of the time you can't call through your international destination. Even when call gets through. Sometimes voice clarity is lousy and lagging also. 4 Baht/Min call option is not bad.

Currently Im using 018 at $0.08/min hubber rates. Voice quality is good.

Anyone tried Home connect. Is the voice quality good as well.

Or any other cheaper ways?
Switched to Homeconnect recently. $8.50. 367 mins. $0.023/min.

Saw some china ICC offer 800 mins for same $8.50. But wonder is the voice quality good? For Homeconnect the calls may become soft ever now and then. Eg you may not hear the last word of what your friend is saying every now and then.

Anyone tried the new china ICC card with 800 free mins? Do share.

You can try Jajah VoIP (jajah.com) or other VoIP services
I use it to call my gf when I'm China. I nv explore all their services but the one i use charges abt $2.20 usd /hr

no significant lag, but sometimes got a little static bg noise. relatively ok to use. The VoIP works such that one party needs to login to the website to initiate the call. Then the website will call and connect both parties on your phones and you chat as per a normal phonecall.

However, from what i understand u need to top up credits (min 50usd) b4 u can use. U can see if they have free credits when u register for u to test the quality.

Any brother know how can send cheap/free sms to sg no. from China? I pay 1 yuan (about 20cent sgd) / sms bac to sg.

dun bother using jajah!

cos they restrict the number of changes u can make to your own handphone/home phone number, exceed the number of changes and u have to e-mail their support line to change it for u, and this does not happen immediately! can take up to half a day to get your number changed! by which time u might have given up try to call the other party liao

personally i avoid jajah at all cost becos of this screwup in their system!

Re: Cheapest way to call your loved ones overseas?

My personal experience with Jajah has been mixed - their call quality is exceptional and charges ridiculously cheap, but the lag time is unbearable. I'm still using the Singtel Hello card as of now but will always be open to better alternatives.

aiyoh bro, normally vietnam mobile numbers are 9 digits, but now also have 10 digits, starting with numbers like 012 etc. If home numbers, depends on which province she is calling from. If from HCM City, then its 08, Hanoi is 04, Ben tre is 075. But i think now must add additional number 3 after these numbers before the LAN line. If other mobile numbers, some examples will be 090, 091, 095, 093, 012, etc.

Re: Cheapest way to call your loved ones overseas?

I used to have a Girlfriend....ang mo. Wow!!! calling her was clocking up my hp bills so soaring high!!! that I decided to end it.

I only bonked her once, during my trip to America... other than that, I have never touched her! only listened to her voice, and it was fuckxxxing exxxx!!!

think properly before wasting such overseas money...
