Bro, if those are the DC prices, then some smaller joints seem to be of the same price too. I've been to The Ching Bar at Allson hotel, no rooms, just the public area, all prices the same, accept martell, even more expensive. $417 i think. Then plus the fruits, and all the extras... I assume those extras are the same everywhere.... At the moment trying to aim a girl there... bored already then change place..

Bro gangjian, no need to worry one lah, I have planted a few spy inside DC so can get info if I never go there. Most of the waiter, waitress, especially the 2 floor mgr knows me too well liao. Fiona the recpt and her sister also knows me and also downstair the car jockey chief Enguene also knows me well.

Bro break78, that is always the case, those located inside hotel areas are always more expensive than those outside KTV. They will hvae alot of extras charges, unlike outside KTvs the bill is always $xxx nett (all inclusive).

I found this thread finally... As you can tell, I've been alternating between This Ching Bar, and The Century KTV(not the expensive version, but not too cheap also) recently. Wait till i get bored of this 2 place first then I'll change a venue, but will definitely look for a flower joint in future... So nice a place. wonder how come so many people don't like it...

After scouting other places, I still found DC my favorite. The singers there are just the best.

Bro do you know the amt of $$$ and time I spend there. Countless lah, even the Boss ( fat man ) also tell me not to go to his KTV too often.

What's the price for drinks and flower at LV? Do they have a lounge and bar counter like that in DC? I heard it's ridiculously expensive there. But do want to check it out though. Thanks!

have been following this thread and would like to contribute just a little. actually, i used to a great fan of such joints. i prefer singers than ktv gals; which i do not quite understand why then. think about it now, it is a waste of money at such joints. drinking a glass of coke at kopi tiam is $1.20 whereas drinking a glass of coke at higher class places cost $12. but they taste exactly the same. of coz, some will say the comfort and amosphere is different. what i am trying to say is whether they are singers from china or ktv girls from china; there is no diff. anyway, these places are for ppl with plenty of money but nowhere to spend or ppl using "ah-gong's" money (entertainement allowance). for those with limited budget and have not ventured such places, i would say "don't bother lah.... stick to your KTVs; more economical, and fun". furthermore, such places can be 'dangerous' in some smaller joints! somehow, most pleasant looking singers tend to have someone behind them. i do hear ppl saying many of these smaller joints are thug-owned. i was ever mistakenly ambushed before for touching somebody's girls?!?! crazy, right??? anyway, the choice is still yours. it is just a little contribution. occasionally, i will still popby the 50s, Ching Bar or de Artists for a couple of drinks. these are safe and comfortable places for drinks and just to listen to songs. if you have money, the singers can be just as good, though! haha!

Personally i think that those budget places are more adventurous. The MMs can be played and u only pay a fraction of what u going to give in high end leagues. We go to this kind of places to have fun. If we really want to sing k, might as well go k box or partyworld.
