When you bedded his wife, was she in love with you?

Do you have a place of your own?

If the answers are Yes to all, then propose to marry her. Even if the separation papers take time, she can move in to your place and no longer stay with that fellow. She can legally ask for half the proceeds of the house after selling it. After all she can stay with you and you take care of her.
