Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
An excellent result that will be remembered for a long long time bros. Everybody played well. Torres was exceptional. Reina should also be given credit for several outstanding saves which prevented Chel fr coming back. Lucas muz have won some praises with a superb performance. The youngsters like Kelly, Shelvey & Spearing should also be commended for holding their heads up against the champions.
Midweek game coming against Wigan away. Hope our good run continues, else all the good efforts tonite will come to ashes again. G'nite bros!!!

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
It's fabulous to see Torres in amazing form again! I shouted when the second goal went in
But it was a team win tonight. Not nice and a bit scary in the second half and we had a bit of luck (and Reina). Red kudos to: Kuyt for playing like he's never had his injury and finding Torres with a superb ball for the first goal. Who said this guy is just work and no brains? Kelly for a brave performance, particularly in the first half. Sure he was overrun a few times in the second but he will learn from the baptism of fire. Lucas for a battling game in the middle, making tackles and getting fouled. This guy has been criticised left right and centre but he has been great this game and the previous one (a cameo with a big impact). |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
like all of u, i was very happy with the fantastic result and the two goals. but i dun tink the first goal was a scuffed shot ;p
one thing, though, i wished we had continued to press them in the second half instead of sitting back and absorbing their attacks. but kudos as well for defending well. whole team did well but for me the two biggest stars for the night were the 2 spaniards, torres and reina and i hope they dun leave in Jan (or Jun) as they are rumoured to be. it is seldom said but reina is actually just as important as torres - its hard to find good keepers, just ask arsenal. |

But football is just like that - a scuffled shot and it goes in and you are high on confidence again No chance of Torres and Reina leaving. I'm sure they are as eager as all of us to see who the 5-6 players coming in in Jan are |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
It was a great game and everyone played their part in holding back the rampaging Chelsea side especially in the second half. Must give credit where it is due in particular Lucas Leiva, he made some good interceptions and passes. As well as Martin Kelly, what a baptism of fire for him but he handled his role real well. The swagger in Torres seems to be back hope it is here to stay. The second goal was simply sublime. Simply caught everyone including Petr Cech by surprise.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
I must admit kelly did well but will we see the last of him? Sadly enough, we will. RH will put glenn once he is back and if you all noticed, he seldom change his lineup once they hit some kind of form unless his hand is forced due to europa or injuries.
So i must say i am glad to see kelly for the full 90mins. Jonjo got a run out as well as spearing. But i am still wondering... Where the fvck is PACHECO! He does not need to be a winger, just play him as a second striker when he took out kyut and let him FLY. Come on old man. Put PAcheco! |
