Pai and MHS very nice this time of the year. Pai made famous by teen romance movie. Hot springs, plenty of cafes, small shops... very indie laid back vibe. However bros looking for chiong place when I was there 4 years ago couldn't any or else nothing obvious.

Took mini-van from Chiangmai to Pai stayed couple of days. Pickup from Pai to MHS view Bua Tong. Mountain scenery was fantastic. Bua Tong suay mak mak. Look like Europe than Thailand.

Beautiful as the mountains are do note that mountains means lots of curves = car sick easily. Decided last minute to take small plane by Nok Air from MHS to Chiangmai as couldn't stomach the thought of driving 4-5 hours back to catch flight back to Bangers!

Took ton!! Pai and MHS is good to go especially around this period. Weather can be very cold during in the night.

But I abit disappointed with Pai as now it's totally infested with the farangs!

In Pai many will pitch their tent along the small canal. I remember the Chinese Muslim stall at the night market selling noodle with fish cake only for 30 bht.

The movie you mentioned is Pai in LOVE. Yup very indie. Really suitable for young couple like me.

As for Bua tong, no words can describe its beauty. Girls at MHS also.

Ya the curve, my gf drove her mum's jeep. So no problem. I even saw people riding the small honda cup. Really salute their endurance.

One of our samster also did ride to Pai last year.

If you're reading this I hope to meet you again and let's have a good bang on the 31st dec like last year.

Today is 'small' Loy Krathong, big one's tomorrow. Massive traffic snarls, some places now pedestrian malls. Parade and concerts. Lanterns and fire crackers, with warnings on no alcohol ignored near river banks

In fact I did my loy kratong yesterday night.

We went party at ex-Sky2 club in Bkk and heard he went back alone to the club while I was back to SG.

A nice guy to meet up.

You stay in the middle of where all the vices surrounding you.

You should try Sayuri, I lazy to re type again the location, maybe you can search last few pages as I think CNX is not as hot as Bkk thread.

Don't take tuk tuk to sayuri unless you willing to be charge extra 1k bht for the driver tips. It's walkable from Le Meridian.

Night time, there's two go go bar within 100 meter, one is at Loi khor, star xix. Behind your hotel just walk pass the small bridge, and you will see the entertainment complex.

One more is at behind 2dusit hotel, foxy lady.

As for FL, there are at entertainment centre also.

Went for a walk to celeb, was rather disappointed with the selection there. There were about 10 ladies in there. The bellhop said that sayuri was a little too far for walking.
The night market is behind the hotel, is that the way to the ktvs?
Looks like tonight will be a big night in cnx, saw a couple of floats all decked out for the festival tonight.

That's the reason why I didn't suggested you to go to celeb.

Sayuri wasn't that far, from your hotel is about 10 to 15 mins walk, depends on how you walk. 5555

The ktvs area slightly further down, nearby the shangri la hotel.

I suggest you to go to violin, many SYT there.
