Firstly, I think the plot and story of the above movies are not really into the topic of prostitution. Its more of touching on the love aspect.

Thats why depends on how you see it. Some deem Pretty Woman as a good movie. Probably good in the lovey dovey part but definitely doesn't give you the harsh reality of the life of a prostitute.

Fate plays a part in the beginning part of our lives, where & who we start of as. But that doesn't mean have to "surrender" to it mah...... if they are strong enough to beat the odds (which is how many are there?), their destiny can be changed as I believed that the ending point is in each individual's hands.

Of cos, external factors like their peer influences, environment etc plays a part (mostly negative) in weakening their will to change for the better. In the end, they are so tired that they accept it lor.......

I liked Private Dancer so much that I actually sent a postcard......

The only thing I can say about Private dancer is that many samsters after reading the story, they feel like they can relate with the stories and happenings in it.

"Hey that happen to me before!" was the reaction of many.

However, every case is different. Reading 1 more book and reading more storybooks don't harm.

No, correction - its much better than the book as it is real pple and their stories of love found and/or lost.
