That is why I try to motivate bro Van Basten that not all is gloom and doom... People need to still spend the basic stuff... and if we follow the economy history, the more depress it is, the ticket sales of movies are actually goes up..

Indeed the local China domestic consumers market is still going strong with very locals spending power going ever strong here......it is in fact the expats that are very much affected by the crisis here.....

So much for being the 'premium' expat class section here yet now ended more 'jialat' than the locals though bros.....

my frens n I sometimes spend wkends in Kunshan, aka 小台湾. ktvs there not very fun, gals r spoilt by taiwanese. BBS quite a lot, HC also a few, not bad. But paiseh I cant give u any names cos we were always brought ard by local frens, so cant rmbr

Not really 'regular' lah... just that one of our division is managing artists and producing content... and most of our artists love going to party. Many of these 夜店 always give special treatment for artists.

You are also regular to department store hah... as mentioned by Shengge. You must know lots of these MM in department stores..

So far, in order to ensure my stay there... is OK.. i've started arranging my shanghai gfs to rotate shift to visit and stay with me... which i think should still suffice..

hi bro, actually i m not so much doom n gloom for myself, but i heard 1st hand that alot of those manufacturers mostly doing electronics and exports to US, Europe are doing very very badly, and that's really what happened to most of my frens.

n bro sexatronic, u were saying that the export oriented industries are truely badly affected but not so much the other industries? is that the real situation in china now?

i also heard that the ktvs, saunas business in south china is quite bad... ronaldo i m sure you can verify if this is true?

yes, most businesses (exports/manufacturing) are badly affected, very bad in fact.. E.g, there r easily more than 10,000 factories in china, making anything frm shoes to apparells, ceramic wares to furnitures, toys to computers, closed down last mth, sending 1.5m migrants workers home.

My industry (u know which) on the other hand, is still doing ok. At least my grp of buddies here (all in same industry) seems to prove this. But i'm not saying my industry is recession-proof, just a bit slower felt than exports. We are preparing for the worse next yr tho...

It is true ktvs, HC businesses are affected, not just in the south. Was in NJ last wk and went to a HC, boss said business drop by half. Ktvs in SH also impacted. 上海之夜， my homeground, used to be full-house every nite until just 2 mths ago, now barely 3/4 full... Same happens in 长寿路 area..

there was an english pub wif Pinoy band which my KS frens brot me to, quite nice, cool place to chill. But i really recall the location liao. If u manage to find, u will also find my frens there, cos they go almost every other nite. I ever sian-ed a taiwan gal there.. hehe..

forget abt SH gals lar! Move around pubs in KS, u will find many taiwan gals.. they r there b'cos their fathers / uncles / whoever, works there...
