Powerpower,

A couple of points for you to take note:

#1 The air-con is not broken. There is a concealed circuit breaker near the window just below the air-con. u could have asked the boys downstairs to come up and turn it on. But i guess by that time u in the room, the little head sucked up all ur blood till u only think of SMS me about the air-con ;-)

#2 U got me in big trouble. The girls now keep asking me to get u back to Hanoi to continue where u left off! I think they really enjoyed ur tonguing very much. Most of the girls in hanoi laugh at me that "He cannot swim!" so that makes u a rarity now. U are the new celebrated hero!

#3 I am glad u have been very generous with the girls... that is good, and at the same time u did not overpay Thuy (US$60 if a fair deal but US$50 would have been ideal). Anyway not ur fault, I just forgot to tell u. Oh by the way, Mai would have expected US$100 instead so $60 would have pissed her off!

#4 I really respect ur courage and adventure spirit! U come to Hanoi first time and alone and really venture very far. I have never seen a Singaporean do so much in such a short time in hanoi during their first trip, not even myself! Its facinating to observe that u have completely left ur "Singaporean mentality" totally in Singapore instead of bringing it along in ur hand-carry bag. Hats off to you man!

#5 I got some photos taken with u and Thuy, need to email to you, pls PM me ur email address.

#6 So now how? when u can go back Hanoi? We can also do Bangkok and Hanoi.. or better still, would u like to bring Thuy to Bangkok for holiday?

Re: Hanoi

#1 - Maybe, but the feel is like in sauna………but quite enjoyable after all. From my FR report, you know it is GOOOOOOD!!!

#2 - Make them your 8th or 9th GF, afterall you already have 7 …………I know you can handle them……you are the professional! Haa! Haa!

#3 - You are right……Mai is more daring and will ask for more, Thuy is more timid and more accommodative……very GF like feeling.

#4 - I used to travel alone and most of the time on commander mission…… ultimately we want to feel good (bonking) and the girls want $. Holidays are mean to relax and enjoy. When you are lucky, you get a gf like and have the highest level of satisfaction.

#5 - Will pm u later.

#6 - Bangkok is another paradise………...can easily find another one. Thuy is mean for my Hanoi trip only.
Roughly which week of the month do you normally travel to Bangkok? Then I can try to book my airticket. Me on budget fly onli.....Tiger, Airasia, Valuair.

The best way to get money in Vietnam is by using Citibank Bank ready Credit cards, go to the citibank teller in airport or in town, and draw cash from there, you get the best exchange rates that way.

next best way is the bring large notes of US$ (50 or 100) and exchange at the airport money exchange.

next best way is to bring Sing$ and change at the airport.

next best way is to change USD$ at hotel receptions

worst way is the change for any VND in Singapore!

When u going to Hanoi for first time, do also take note about booking of hotels. If u book a USD$20~30 hotel, you are likely to have fun. If you book a USD$100~200 hotel, and when u want to have fun, u will end up booking another USD$20 hotel, and ur luggage can enjoy the facilities of the 5-star hotel but not you ;-)

My dearest Bro Deptrai
Greetings and how are you?
Long time no chat & I trust you and your business are doing very well. This story about luggage staying in 5-star hotel..haha...you disturb another brother again, naughty you Bro Deptrai.
I miss Hanoi dreadfully; having the Viet girl, having drinks with you & Mild7, staying in that wonderfully secure and small hotel that you recommended (my best night in Hanoi was in that hotel). So far, no chance for me to go back there yet...sob.
Bangkok is on my list to visit and I am scheduled to be there from 12-15 Oct 2007. Any chance you may be there in the same period please? I would love to catch up with you and buy you dinner & drinks. Usually I will stay in the Sukhumvit area, either near Soi Nana or Soi 11. Let me know please?
Thank you Bro Deptrai & I sincerely look forward to meeting you soon.
Kind regards to everyone in Hanoi.

Re: Hanoi

Rice Cooker

You might wonder why the title of this article has the title of Rice Cooker? It's actually slang for motorbike helmut in Viet Nam. From December people all over Vietnam have to wear helmuts. It sounds weird that the government has to force people to take care of their own safety.
In Vietnam a few years ago, we had a rule for wearing helmuts but only for those driving motorbikes on the highways but still not many people followed it, including me. I don't really feel comfortable wearing a helmut but I bought one today. For western people, wearing a helmut is something that they more than happy to do to protect their lives but for Asian people, especially Vietnamese, it isn't a habit even though they know it's good for them. I felt like I had to buy one because I have seen quite a few accidents recently between my home and the old quarter. I think it's worth spending 165,000Vnd just in case I do fall off and hit my head.
Since the policy was announced, the helmut business has been doing extremely well. I went to the Honda shop and they said they sold out a few days ago, then I went to the Protec shop, which was crowded with customers selecting a helmut to suit them. Luckily I got one for myself at a good price. I also tried to buy 2 more for my friends but the staff told me that I have to go back in a few days when the next stock arrived. The most popular brand for helmuts are Amoro, Honda, Lucky Star, Protect. You can buy copies of these helmuts which are made in China cheaply from 30,000Vnd instead of buying an original from 165,000Vnd. Most stuff from China is really cheap but I'm not sure about the quality.

Dear Jimmy the cool,

dun worry, not only talking about u but many other brudders also the same lah, end up booking hotel with a merlion to protect the luggage at the driveway just in case that people dun know they are from sillypore, and then staying at the cosy US$20 hotel.

Hope to see u in BKK. By the way, if u staying at Soi nana, then i strongly recommend Dynasty Inn Hotel which is just beside the party place.

Any senior bros that are familiar with and going to Hanoi in the near future, please let me know and if you dun mind that I can join you.....

thank you very much in advance...
