big match tonite....

with kyut, ngog struggle to get fit... babel may be ask to play lone striker in our usual 4-2-3-1 formation... supported by benayoun-gerrard-aquilani.... and with lucas-macherano playing infront of the defense...

but i think kyut might recover just in time for the match... then it'll be macherano-gerrard; benayoun-aquilani-babel; babel

the back 4 shall pick themselves: johnson-carragher-kygro-agger...

Heard on the liverpoolfc online news interview just now with Rafa Benitez..... that is one joker. When asked who will play striker tonite with the current crisis.... that joker answered - "Gerrard can play upfront with Aquilani supporting behind him or maybe I will push Agger and Benayoun to play forward.... it doesn't matter who is playing the striker's role as everyone must give 100% and try to score tonite".

Even Benitez dunno who is going to be the striker !

we'll get past A.Madrid...and win the europa league. Then again, prefer we "lost" to chelsea so that Manu wont win the title & overtake pools record...sorry

Remember in Istanbul we only had Baros.

Our squad is really thin with the injuries and Maxi ineligible. If Riera had not shot himself in the foot, I would have him on the left, and Stevie in midfield in place of Lucas.

Dear Fellow Liverpoolians,

Am keeping my fingers crossed that we get the 2 goals required tonight and make it to the final of the Europa Cup at Hamburg next month.

It our last shot at a Silver Cup. If we win the Cup, we would regard ourselves as a club that has performed better than the SCUMS at Old Trafford!!!

Honestly Brothers, I am tired of all that arrogance and boastful talk of these fans of the SCUM Club at Old Trafford. It sucks big time!

Once and for all, lets hope that we become Champions of Europa Cup 2009/10.

Match as expected: Atletico dangerous on the counter.

Atletico win on away goals after Forlan (yes!) pegged back Yossi's goal in extra time.

I have to say Atletico deserved it; they played better and could have scored a couple more in extra time. I think after Forlan's goal, our boys had no more gas in them.

he is an attacking minded left back. of cos will add extra dimension and supply on the flank but also vulnerable if he cannot get back in time to defend.

have to agree with you. after Forlan's goal to level the aggregate to 2-2,we do not have the stamina to fight back.
hope that this extra 30 minutes of play will not affect our next match against Chelsea.
