So far no problem, anyway once I check in I will spray and paste the patches all over esp in the bathroom. Then go out for hours before return. In restaurant I will spray once I am seated. And I have seen mos flying away. better be safe then sorry.

As for buying in Phils, dont want to spend time hunting for it

These are not essential items to the filipinos and thus are priced very expensive. The more enterprising ones get them from the visiting armed forces who seem to have plenty of these to throw away. Otherwise it is the well off filipinoes who can afford these items.

If you can..... bring in some medicines for dengue as they are out of stock everywhere.... even in the hospitals. They are depending on emergency supplies loaned from the US Forces Medical Centre + a sprinkling of donated medication from some organisations here and there.

The locals dun use coils...... they burn this substance what we call in chinese "kam mong yin" which gives out smoke and distribute the smoke all over the house.

There is no treatment for dengue, so maybe that's why the hospitals there send the patients home.

In Singapore, dengue patients are warded in CDC. As dengue is a viral infection, there is no known medicine for the virus at the moment. Patients are given medicine to treat the accompanying symptoms instead. It is the patient's own immune system that fights the virus infection so the patient needs plenty of rest and rehydration. Whether he survives or not depends on his own. Sometimes blood transfusion is given to boost his immune system for a better fighting chance.

If you ever happen to get the dengue while overseas in the poorer countries, it is best to fly back to Singapore asap, at least in the hospitals here you are able to get support to fight the virus.

This is so very retro. I remember our grandparents use the same method in our kampungs when we were young.

Coils are easily available and cheap here. Not necessary to buy in unless you have your preferred brand.

Yes it even spreads over to Sanfernando city (Clark) after the flood, one of my workers and his family’s members now lying at hospital, if you have some symptoms include fever, headache, muscle, joint pains and some skin rash. Just go and see a doctor, don't play play.
