Sometimes the quality of the material can make a difference as to whether it's appropriate or not (in office environment). If she is going to put on something fancy, as in polka dots or tattoo type of pantyhose, if the texture is polished and elegant, she can carry it off well as long as she has that aura in her.

I have come across OLs in polka dots. Some could really carry it off well with their power dressing.

Yes, unlike elsewhere, singapore doesn't have the culture of wearing hosiery. Weather is the usual excuse, but elsewhere, they wear accordingly to seasons that also includes summer. So I figured it boils down to laziness...

My favorites are those near skin tone that the Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese or Hongkongers wear that almost close to their fair skin tone....

Or those Aussies and kiwis girls who usually stick to darker shade than heir skin but those with a shinny sheen.....

Both are beautiful to make the world a better place to live in. But just not Singapore.....Indonesia, like Thai, also wear.....what can you say? The culture is not here to wear....much to our chagrin......

If the ATBs are wearing PH in Singapore and during summer China, then we know weather is NOT the reason but an excuse. The Bro who pointed out that many in Singapore felt it was "dated" to wear PH especially the skin color type. Well, that reason is very close to what I suggested. The issue is why is PH dated? It's an excuse they give but we know it is more of the fashion that they think is for old people to wear. Kate middleton started wearing but so little in sg follow her style . I will blame those lazy bloggers who just don't like putting it on and start bashing and making fun of celebrities that wear them. Also those ugly feminists that want to make all the world look ugly together with them just because they are ugly in the first place(level the playing ground so that they stand a chance).
