Since so long noone posted in HFJ thread for a long time, let me start with something once more.
I was with bro DYBJ at a certain HFJ around Duxton area. We have had a steaming canon firing event on 11 June 2011, Saturday. After the event, we brought our chicks plus another singer to StudioM Hotel's cafe @ Mohd Sultan area for supper around 3am (Sunday liaoz!).
There we witnessed a confrontation between 1 local and several foreigners. Some racist remarks were thrown at the local guy who was asking the foreigner why he said those remark. With a bigger group size, those foreigners started punching the local and he was thrown to the ground. One of the local guy's friend tried to intervene but was unable to do so. Soon, more foreigners came by and they looked like the friends of those beating up the local. Guess what, they too joined in the bullying.
(** Note: Bro DYBJ asked the hotel staff to call the police the moment the pushing/shouting started, which was around 10 minutes ago.)
By now, bro DYBJ and myself cannot take it anymore and we rushed towards there to break up the fight. Bro DYBJ was the hero, he shielded the fallen guy and told the attackers that they as men should not whack a fallen guy. 7 : 1 ratio, how to run!?! Now with his pal, DYBJ and myself; the ratio turned 7 : 3 and soon few more of the local guy's friends turned up. The group saw that more locals are gathering and they hands-off.
Now, my point here is not about the bullying or fighting or the heroism of bro DYBJ. Where is the police? It has been a cool 15 minutes and nothing was in sight. The friends of the local guy helped him up and got him inside one of their cars. I told his driver to ask him to go hospital for checkup and make a police report asap. The group of foreigners were still hanging around...
As we started to sit down and have our meals in peace, the police arrived in 2 cars. One was from Orchard division and the other from Bukit Timah division. When the foreigners saw the police, they started to disperse. As the police alighted, less than 10 metres from us sitting, bro DYBJ told the officers (1 male, 1 female) that the attackers were the 3 men walk down the road, away from the police. Surprisingly, the officers took no action. One of then even bent down to tie his shoelaces; seen by our table of 5, hotel staff and cafe staff. The officers simply walked around, did not even asked for details from by-standers and drove off with less than 5 minutes in presence.
No wonder the FTs are happily coming to Singapore, taking huge pay checks, living in big expensive company rented condos/houses, bullying the locals; now they must be laughing at us - our police cannot even protect the innocents/the citizens.
I felt so sad for the poor man. I felt worse knowing I am a local citizen, seeing the dismay situation past my eyes.
Thank you to my beloved and trusted government~ I am so glad my vote went the other way.

All upz will be returned. Priority given to +9 & above.
Anyway recently also witnessed 2 PRC women pulled a man out of the cab and whacked him up along Jalan Sultan. 1 PRC woman pulled the man shirt and pant till he was half-monty and rolling on the floor. As expected, nobody call the 5-O cos everybody were laughing comically. Funny thing was that the 3 of them (2 PRC + the Man) went into another cab 10mins later....Wahahahahaha

Brothers, thanks for helping out the person, it takes a lot of courage to stand up to a gang.
Kudos for that.
The thing to note about foreigners is this and our local singapore laws is, fighting ain't a criminal matter i think unless you cause grevious harm or you hit an MP. It is a civil case.
Escape?
Nah just taking a rest, will be back soon, wiser...
