Feedback I got so far is that the HMTL mm mostly cannot make it. True or not?
well ... it's average from my limited visits there when they first opened in march. a mummy there was told hmtl will be closed for a month, will see how it develop.
Newbie question, reading this thread and some bros suggest to use agent like, GoFly, HFIC or Eurostar for first timer to CP but it seem like the agent is not charging any fee for their services, some of the hotel rate they offered even cheaper than booking online.
How they make their money?
Maybe it's their trade secret which I should not have asked.
remember I did also asked this question some years ago ... these agents got their money from the establisments like hotels, ktvs, saunas, bbs ..... etc...

Just take airfare through agent or airline itself for example. Same here.
Price quoted @ booking online is called the retail price

While we are talking about the closure of HMTL, the quality of the ktv mms etc.... I for one do feel bad about how the livelihood of many people got affected by this sudden turn of event. Just hope everything will be OK in the near future .....
Bro..that 3m famous for being a kc king..so he spend alot on flower, romantic dinner & gifts.
This trip all the heavy drinker not ard (except "yandao kia")..so will keep ktv bill low.
Cheers,
TinTin

HMTL is just big lah, nothing to shout about.....
I was there last trip, and did not see my type, still get to find my type at PZL......
You want to hunt for more DJs............You are "DJ hunter"...
My humble two cents.

As in all newly opened KTVs the first 3 months surely a lot of cock ups and quality of hostesses is very volatile.
But have to say this closure thing is out of the ordinary.
seems like all my taikors are busy with their trip preparation and no one have free time to reply... let ah dee help you a bit.
first, about your budget, sgd 1400 is about rmb 7000, whic comes to average of about rmb2300 per day.
depending how luxury or how budget you want to go, if you want the high side spending like my taikor vertu, one day speding can easily rmb 7k; however, some brothers still able to spend rmb 2k per day including hotel.
taking the average, i personally would like to suggest you set rmb 3k - 3.5k per day. this will give you more fun without too much constrained.
here is a breakdown: hotel room 350, sauna 700, ktv girl overnight 1300, ktv drinking 350, foot massage/makan/transport 300.
price vary depending from case to case. for example, mixed k drinking cost is subjected to weekday/weekend, also the ktv itself. hmtl/oy/yh will be more ex than fh/amazon/bd. same for others like hotel room, sauna, ktv girl.
of course you might not go sauna for 3 consecutive days, but you might want to seat for more than 1 ktv girl or maybe even tips the girl more, or having luxury foot massage session; i am only giving you the average benchmark.
bird flu is not really the concern in cp, people hardly talk about it and those chicken shops still running business as usual.
as the first timer, i would not recommend you to stay at regency because it is too far from the fun places, huatai is value for money or huimei is another good consideration. if you could afford to spend more, try miraton or huihua.
for ktv, amazon is not so recommended because quantity is not many; i would suggest you try yh/oy/mf/fh, which give you greater quantity.
the advantage of going sauna with the agent is it will help you to save the room fee. if you walk in without reservation, there will be an additional charge on the room fee.
usually the agent will bring you through few saunas during the trip, you may not really need to concern which sauna you are going.
hope this give you the better picture about having fun in cp!
Bro 3dee, thank you so much for your kind advice. Especially the detailed budgeting advice, seems like I am too optimistic as 3-3.5k RMB is exp if compare to Taiwan, Bangkok, Indonesia. I.guess t
