haiz, if u guys really come Thailand so often, and concerned about the violatility of the exchange rate, why dont open a bank account in Thailand, deposit some more $$ into the Thai bank account.

Since in the near future, THB dun seem likely to depreciate much, but higher likelihood of appreciating. By doing that, u dont have 2 monitor the exchange rates so tediously, when u come Thailand, u juz need 2 go ATMs to withdraw local currency. If THB appreciates more, indirectly, u kinda bought THB at lower price. If it depreciates, u can take it as some service charge, at least it saves u the hassle of monitoring the exchange rate & going 2 the money changers.

For whatever marginal diff, try change at sg (GM better rates?). Over here last few days, rate really sucks ard 22.4-22.5. Won't make you rich, but perhaps just make feel less song.

are you high on drugs while typing this? open bank account for such infrequent usage for what? are you a financial expert? faster go ITV and get a REAL job as a reporter. down here reporting rubbish advises. loser!

it seems u have a problem wif interpreting? I said "4 those guys come Thailand so often"! If it's infrequent 4 u, tat's yr own situation. U have cash flow problem, tat's yr own problem. Not everyone has cash flow problem like yrs! Not everybody's situation is same as yrs, so dun assume everyone's situation is same as yrs!

Ability to do it is 1 thing, wanna do it or not is another different thing. There r many pple out there who are certainly capable of taking out some $$ to open a bank account in Thailand, but whether they wanna do it or not is another issue.

I'm merely suggesting opening a bank account to hedge the exchange rate violatility, I din even mention about the amount of $$ to deposit into the bank account yet, and yr 1st reaction is talking about cash flow (above quote). So, wat can be said of yr cash flow situation? And it has to take several posts to talk about this? Tat's why now I have a better understanding of yr intelligence quotient.
