phew! what a close shave, very close game, can go anyway actually, the balance tip the REDS way when torres muscled ferdy to smash past edwin into the roof, the sending off to vidic made united hungrier, then came maschy red too, last laugh given for ngog who cooly slots past the dutch keeper's wings, heads up to benitez and the red merseyside army.....hope gerrards comes back soon

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Great game but at the end of the day, its 3 points like every game (although this was a "6 pointer"). We must build on this and get into a good winning run especially in our remainder Champs League games otherwise today's achievement will count for nothing at the end.

Having said that, YAYYY!!!!!!

Btw, dun know whether is it just me but i really cannot stand the way Benitez has ABSOLUTELY no reaction after Torres scored. Its one thing to remain calm but another to be so aloof. I dun tink there is anything wrong celebrating a goal with the team. By insisting on de stone face demeanour, u're isolating urself from the rest of the celebrating team. In football there is so much passion - to be so cold cannot be something good. Players are humans with feelings, if u cannot engage ur players emotionally, u can't be effective. It seems like he rather save his emotions for ranting at other managers.

Yes, indeed. We need to build up this victory against "smaller" teams, if not it will be the same as last few seasons.

As for your comment on Rafa's reaction, that is him - he is a totally different character compared with either Arsene, Mourinho or Alex, he's more aloof than them in terms of celebration - But hey, he did show a "Good" sign after the 1st goal was scored.
Maybe that's his way, he did not want to show to people that his team has already won the match until the final whistle is blown, to each of his own.

WELL DONE REDS..

Hey bro, I got to say you are one of the best and most knowledgeable Pool fans around here.

Rafa showed no emotion cos the game hasn't been won. Someone else wants to show emotion (like I did when Torres and Ngog scored), go ahead, but Rafa doesn't have to be like that righttttt. I mean, after a night like this, some so called fans will still find things to criticise???? (which btw is totally Rafa )

Lucas not only bossed midfield, he did the Alonso thing of breaking up United's attacks.

Best was the Ngog goal, the commentator was saying what a mistake to replace Torres, that shut up him for good heheh.

wat does rafa need to do to escape criticism??!!

a good overall performance by the team... esp carragher & agger need to be our 1st choice CB partners.. benayoun and aurelio played well, tireless and pass well.. wat a difference a half-fit torres made..

and last but not least, lucas was superb today.. breaking up plays, passes well, and made some intelligent run too.. u have to admire this poor chap, he is under so much criticism, and people tends to forget he's just 22 yo..

only negative is insua was left wanting for few occasions...

aqualani may be back very soon, torres & gerrard getting over their injury problem tooo..

hope we can build on tis win and start a long winning streak....

YNWA.....

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Juz returned fr SPools watching d Pool match. What a great atmosphere! I think either many of those in d crowd were Pool fans or gambled on Pool win. Whatever need to be said had already been summed up by bros here. Needless to say, very happy with d win - not a beautiful or classic win but more thru sheer hard work n determination. N yes, also relieved that judas did not come bk to haunt his old club with a goal ... altho he showed some brilliant moves.

It's a morale boosting win, and to do it at Anfield against our fiercest rival....priceless. Hope we can build on this momentum and win against smaller teams. YWNA
